George was not in a very good mood this morning.
Nothing had been going right today. First, his alarm didn't wake him up. Then, he couldn't find actual clothes to wear and had to borrow his sister's shirt. Third, the bus he rode got stuck in traffic, making them all late. Fourth, he realized he forgot to eat breakfast. And fifth- worst of all, even- he couldn't find Dream anywhere.
Not like he wanted to see Dream or anything. He just had to talk to the guy.
George opened his locker and looked around for his books, then piled them into his backpack.
"Mornin, Sunshine."
George shut his door to reveal Dream leaning on the lockers, hands in his hoodie pockets. He was wearing a white hoodie and white mask with a smile on it, like always.
Seriously, what was with this guy and smiles?
//i guess you could say he wears a fake smile\\
"What did you call me?" George's voice was dripping with anger, and he realized after he'd said that. He tried to calm down. "Sorry, bad morning."
"I called you Sunshine, because you looked like the opposite of it today." Dream shrugged and smiled under the mask. "So, what made today so bad?"
"Well, my alarm didn't go off, the bus was late, I didn't eat breakfast, I couldn't find you..." George decided to leave out the part of wearing his sister's shirt. "Oh, right. I need to talk to you."
"Oh, that's why you were looking for me?" Dream looked confused. "Nothing else?"
"No..? I mean, you're also one of my only friends, so I guess there's that, too."
Dream's face brightenes slightly. "Aw."
Dream suddenly stopped and turned to a couple of- seniors? George could only guess because one of them was freakishly tall.
"Anyways, I gotta go. See you at lunch, Sam!" He had a red mask with black and yellow stripes on it.
"Alright, see you at lunch, love you!" Sam had a green mask with a creeper face on it.
Ponk paused a moment, "Love you too."
"There it is. Bye, Ponky!" You could almost hear the heart at the end of it.
"Aww, now isn't that romantic," Dream cut in.
"Shut up, Clay." Ponk made Dream's name sound like an insult.
"Hey, who's he?" Sam asked, pointing at George.
"Huh? Oh, that's George. He's my new best friend. Well, fourth best friend."
"I thought Sap and Skeppy were your only best friends?" George asked.
"Nah, Sam here too. We've been friends for a few years." Dream smiled at Sam, and Sam smiled back.
"Also, I'm your best friend? Aww," George gave Dream a look, and Dream rolled his eyes.
"Not anymore if you keep acting like that."
George gave a soft glare, more like a "Really?" glare.
"Aww," Ponk poked in, imitating Dream. "Now isn't that cute."
Dream ignored his remark, "I said romantic, actually."
"Cute fits you two better," Sam added. "Are you soulmates?"
