The next day Namjoon was able to get a day off. It was cold and snowing outside, so when Harper woke up he knew what to expect.
After breakfast he was dragged outside, since his brothers were also out for break, Taehyung joined while Jungkook watched.
Jungkook wanted to play too but couldnt g ed t his boot wet. Sweet little Harper was still able to include him.
Namjoon showed her how to build a snowman, with uncle Taetaes help. Soon they had 4 little snowmen in their yard.
One small one made by Harper, one made by Namjoon, and two made by Taehyung.
"Look uncle Kookie! Its you!" Harper said pointing at one made by Taehyung.
"Wow he looks just like me!" Laughed Jungkook.
"Hey guys, I'm gonna show Harper a few things we'll be back later!" Namjoon said as he grabbed his keys.
"Be careful! Those roads are a bit slippery!" Warned his mother as they left.
Namjoon buckled her up and got in the car, beginning his drive.
"Where are we going daddy?"
"Daddy wanted to show you something." Namjoon answered as he made his way to the destination.
Namjoon pulled up to a big building. He sighed as he looked up and got out. Harper was soon unbuckled and held Namjoons hand.
He picked her up and pointed to the building. She looked up and smiled, "big."
"Yeah honey, it's big. This is where daddy went to school and where taetae and Kookie go." Namjoon said as they got closer.
"This is where I met mommy too." He mumbled.
"Mommys here??" Asked Harper as she tried to run to the building.
"Oh no I'm sorry baby, shes not here but this is where daddy met mommy." Namjoon explained as he picked her up.
He walked to the side of the building and pointed at the library window.
"Right there sweetheart, that's the place where daddy saw mommy..." Namjoon sighed sadly.
He still remembered that girl who was reading a book and eyeing him as he walked in.
Namjoon had just gotten into trouble in his classroom. His teacher got fed up and sent him to sit in the library the rest of the period.
He walked in and told the librarian why he was there. She told him to take a seat.
He walked around until he met eyes with a brunette, long haired girl. She adjusted her glasses and went back to her book.
He slowly sat down across from her, setting his bag down in the process. "Hi I'm Namjoon, you?"
She looked up, bookmarked her spot, and shut the book.
He smiled as she looked into his eyes, "Sooyoung, Min Sooyoung."
"Oh, you have a pretty name, you get in trouble too?" Asked Namjoon.
"What a gentleman." She quietly laughed. "I'm studying for my entrance exam like you should be."
Namjoon just laughed quietly, "I'm not sure if I want to go to college. "
"Doesnt hurt to study, bad boy of the school hm?" She teased.
Namjoon just smirked, "bad boy indeed."
It was the last period of the day, so when the bell rang Sooyoung gathered her stuff. Namjoon stopped her for a moment when he grabbed his bag.
"It was nice meeting you, I honestly want to be friends."
"Namjoon! Come on mom is outside with hyungs." Hoseok said as he walked up to them in the hallway.
"I'll be there in a minute hyung." Namjoon answered as he turned to Sooyoung.
"Go ahead, I should start walking home, thanks for being company while I study. Bad boy." Sooyoung smirked and started walking away.
"Ooo Namjoonie has a girlfriend~" Hoseok teased.
"Oh shut up hyung shes just a new friend. " Namjoon answered as he followed his brother to the car.
Months later, Namjoon and Sooyoung became offical. He helped her study and stay focused. She passed her entrance exam, and Namjoon threw her a small party.
2 years into college, Namjoon proposed to her. They got married shortly after, she was pregnant with Harper.
Namjoon got his well paying job, she became a lawyer soon after. Namjoon took good care of her.
Sooyoung became a well known lawyer in a few short months. On her 7th month of pregnancy, she became ill.
They never were very concerned since they believed it was just normal. By month 8, they knew something was wrong. The doctor couldn't quite pin point why.
Then came the day Harper arrived. She was very tired after getting to hold Harper. She tried to keep her eyes open.
Namjoon could sense she was too tired to fight. So with much regret, he said his final goodbye.
"Daddy? Was mommy pretty?" Asked Harper as they stared at the window.
"Yes baby, just like you. " he smiled and kissed her nose. The little girl giggled.
Namjoon smiled and got her back in the car, driving to another location.
"This is the house grandma and grandpa used to live in. Your uncle chimmy, taetae, and Kookie didnt get to live here." Namjoon explained as they slowly drove by an old, almost collapsed house.
"Why daddy?"
"We moved a month or two before uncle Chimmy was born." Namjoon answered. He showed her around some significant places.
The tree Namjoon and Sooyoung shared their first kiss under, Namjoons first job, and finally they went back home.
He laid her down for a nap and sighed happily.
"Namjoon hyung, I think I know what I wanna do." Jungkook said as he was finishing some of his papers.
"And what's that?" Namjoon asked as he sat down next his brother.
"I wanna be a cop, like Hobi hyung."
"Are you sure about that? It's a tough job." Namjoon asked.
"Mhm, I talked to hyungie and he said I'd like it." Jungkook explained as he showed the application for the police academy.
"Well you're athletic, I support ya Kook. Wheres Tae?"
"Wooga squad, Seojoon hyung picked him up a few minutes after you left. " Jungkook said sadly.
"You miss it just being you guys huh?" Namjoon asked.
"Yeah, I mean I want him to have fun with his friends but, I miss just us and you guys and when you all lived here." Jungkook explained as he put his head on the table.
"Well, Christmas is next week, everyone will be staying for a week and we have Harper here. You wanna show her some games we played with you?"
Jungkook smiled and nodded, Namjoon patted his shoulder and got up to check on Harper.
