In the hokage office, fukusaku showed up. "yow", "what brings you here, Fukusaku-sama?" she asked. "Is Naruto-chan around?" he asked. "Oh, yeah, he's in the the village somewhere, why do you ask?" she and shizune wonders. "Since Jiraiya-chan won't be able to fight for a while, I will personally train Naruto-chan considering Jiraiya-chan recognized him as the prophesied child." Tsunade's face lit up with gratification as she realized that it would help Naruto in becoming a great ninja of the leaf and at the same time in protecting himself against the Akatsuki. "Great! Shizune call Naruto right now!" Shizune agreed and quickly ran to the Hospital. Shizune searched for Naruto in Jiraiya's room. "Naruto, You are being called by Hokage-sama." Naruto looks at her as she catches her breath, already thinking what is this urgent thing he have to hear now. He agreed to go with her and before they had left left, Naruto grabbed Jiraiya's hand and said, "I'm gonna get you revenge."
In the hokage office, Naruto arrived. "Who is this old geezer?" Naruto asked, making Fukusaku laughed and pissed off Tsunade "Naruto! watch what you say! He was the mentor of Jiraiya!", "Oh, I'm sorry, what does this old man want from me?". With his personality, Fukusaku seems to like him due to his goofiness that resembles Jiraiya's. "You're actually Jiraiya Chan's pupil. I want you to go with me at Mount Myoboku and I will train you." They were all looking at Naruto and waiting in suspense for his answer "Will that make me stronger?" Fukusaku replied, "Certainly! once you master sage mode, you just might be able to defeat Pain's ass." The answer made Naruto fired up for it, his eagerness to beat the Akatsuki leader. "Fine!" says Naruto "I will avenge pervy sage!" Tsunade and Shizune were delighted when they heard Naruto's oath. They proceeded to the Konoha's gate to see Naruto off.
As they were walking towards the entrance he asked a favor to Tsunade, "granny, I have a request for you." She replies, "what is that?". He leans near her ear "visit pervy sage everyday for me" and smirked at her. "well, yeah I guess, he is my patient after all" she replied acting like she won't visit him everyday even if he don't ask it. "oh and wait, what was pervy sage's bet he won?" making the Hokage jolt, she thought "fuck, this brat was listening", she hid her flushed face and said "nothing! none of your business!" she turned the question down just like how she always refused to let him go to missions that doesn't require his skills 2 years ago. "Get moving, Naruto. We're running out of time. You need to train." changing the subject. "When he stepped out the gate, he pauses and says "uh, which way Mount Myoboku is?" and laughed awkwardly. "Don't worry, you already have a contract between toads", Fukusaku says. "Kuchiyose no jutsu" They left Konoha vanishing. Sakura, Shizune, and Tsunade walks toward back to the Hokage office. Tsuna beams delightfully. "I'll visit my patient, you guys go first." Shizune assumed that she was merely trying to avoid the mountains of paperwork that had piled up after three months she keep putting off.
Jiraiya was in critical condition three days ago. Gently touching his hand while giving him a passing glance. "Everything will be alright soon, or I hope it will be" Before leaving, she grinned and kissed Jiraiya on the forehead, it became her habit of doing it to the people she loves and believe the most. She grinned and returned to her office. She had no idea that Kakashi was looking out the window at them.
More paperwork for her and Naruto practicing in sage mode are on the agenda for the upcoming days as usual. She always stops by Jiraiya after work every evening. Jiraiya is being looked after by Kakashi at Naruto's request. For the past two weeks, Jiraiya has been recovering his strength while still unconscious. Soon Tsunade and the nurses fitted his artificial arm to him, created specifically by Tsunade's research involving Hashirama's cells from Yamato. She was worn out following a long day at work entering Jiraiya's room with a sake. There, she drink sake and spoke with Jiraiya while he was unresponsive, or so she thinks. She is aware of the stupid things Jiraiya frequently does to her. Placing a sake next to him, "Do you want me to beat you up again? Jiraiya, what's taking you so long? I miss you and the stupid things you always do." the alcohol in her system made her verbally say she'd never admit sober. "What's the sense of talking to a man who can't reply?" she scratches her eyes and yawn. Emptying her last bottle of sake and giving him a glance as she grasped his hand while everything but him spins around. She then dozed off next to Jiraiya. And at last, Jiraiya opened his eyes. "all that threat, just to pass out" he chuckled.
