Chapter 2: Down the rabbit hole...

Chris jumps up from his place on the floor.

"Where-." He's interrupted by a loud yell on Hlyne's part.

"Sir Stran, where are our comrades?" He questions. Chris just shrugs and begins to look around the little vine covered tent they were in. Hlyne understands and searches the ground.

"What the hell are you doing?" Chris sees Hlyne crawling around on the floor and feeling the dirt.

"Aha! Here! This is freshly dug dirt, insinuating that our comrades were her. They moved." Hlyne points down to a bunch of muddy footprints). Chris follows the path to a hidden doorway in the vines. He pushes them open, tossing them in Hlyne's face.

The pair of Immortals step out into a beautiful ledge on a mountain. In front of them stretches a majestic plain, filled with grass, trees and incredible animals. A mountain range blocks the rest of the world from view. The two stare in awe at the beautiful sight before them.

"Hello? You gonna help us, tweedle dee and tweedle dum?" Adrian's irritating voice cuts through, dragging the others back to reality. They whip around to face the rest of the team, spread out across the large ledge.

"Uh, what are you doing out here?" Chris asks angrily. Hlyne places a calming hand on his shoulder.

"We waited for a bit, but you didn't wake up, so we decided to look around." Irina responds in a bored voice. Chris's antics don't scare her.

"So far, all we know is that this is a world created by the Enchantress. It's closed off, like a room with no doors. The Enchantress has control over everything, except us. The only way to get out is... well, we haven't figured that out yet." Hadwin admits. Adrian walks over and claps Chris on the back.

"Don't worry Shades, worst comes to worst we'll just sacrifice you and get on with life." Adrian says, sarcastically. The heroes glare at him. A loud voice penetrates the tranquility of the mountains.

"Hello Avengers! So glad you made it! This is quite a simple world. Now: you are stuck in my mental world. There are a few things you need to avoid. Ridley Skinner is the major enemy here. Beware: if she catches you, it's off with your heads!

In order to leave my world, first you need to make your way to the rabbit's garden. There you will find a series of rabbit holes. You need to complete the stories in each world in order to reveal the final rabbit hole. The one that leads home." The Enchantress recites the basic rules, with an unusually delighted tone.

"First up, I believe a change of attire is in order." A bunch of sparkles fly down and circle Irina.

"What's with all the magic sparkles?" She asks, annoyed. The sparkles engulf her before disappearing, leaving her in a beautiful white, shoulder less dress with brown sandals and a cute little blue bow, clipping back her long red hair.

The others stare in awe before being covered in sparkles themselves. The men are dressed in some Hlyne-like armor, except for Adrian and Willow. The former is in his usual fighting attire and Willow is in a red dress with a rose clip in her hair.

"There, now you're ready. Good luck! Please die!" The Immortals wait a minute before confirming that the voice is gone.

"Ok, we'll need a map-." Quinn starts. Just as he says this, a map appears out of thin air. Chris walks over, slowly.

"Goddamn this heavy armor." He utters a string of curses in a language that sounds coincidentally like Russian. He looks down at the map in surprise.

"Uh, guys, the map is blank." He says bluntly. Irina dashes over and snatches the map.

"As much as I hate to say this, Adrian's right!" She mutters. Hlyne walks over and looks at the map.

"This is anything but blank!" Hlyne exclaims. Hadwin's eyes widen with realization.

"Cartography. The study of maps. You must be skilled in it!" Willow catches on and starts moving her hands across her dress.

"There must be a way to access our ski-." She stops as a big red sign appears above her head.

The Immortals look up in wonder at their extra skills.

"Is it just me or am I the only one with an actual skill?" Willow asks. Quinn shrugs.

"What the hell kind of skill is rain?" Irina questions. The Immortals had to muffle their laughter, but Adrian can't hold it and bursts out laughing. He runs behind Quinn when Irina glares daggers at him.

"Uh, guys? Why does it say my weakness is the bad guy?" Hadwin asks. Hlyne looks at his sign.

"Well, that's unfortunate." He sighs.

"Uh, huh." Hadwin replies absentmindedly. Quinn looks around at his team.

"Alright Immortals. The Enchantress made it very clear that we aren't getting out of here without doing some work, so we're going to do this properly. Hlyne and I will be in charge of finding out where we need to go and what we will face. Adrian, since you and Chris are able to use long range weapons, you'll be in charge of long-range attack, in case we run into any large problems. Willow, you seem to have the most obvious skills, so you'll be our first line of defense. Hadwin, we'll figure it out later. IMMORTALS, GO!" Quinn looks around at his team. If they have to do this, they would do it together.
