It was a sunny day, on a dirt road, deep in Bear Country. Birds were singing, as the sun rose, and Mama Bear was cooking a nice breakfast for Brother and Sister Bear, before they left for school. It consisted of honey on toast, and milk, with just a drop of honey. "Brother, Sister, breakfast is ready!" announced Mama.
The two cubs scurried downstairs to the kitchen, wolf down the breakfast, that Mama made for them. "No running!" said Mama.
"Sorry, Mama!" said Brother, sitting down.
"We're just in a rush to school!" said Sister, eating her honey toast.
"Good morning, cubs!" said Papa, his buried in the morning paper.
"Good morning, Papa!" said the cubs.
"This honey on toast, is scrumptious, Mama!" exclaimed Brother, savoring it's sweetness.
"Glad you like it," said Mama, smiling. "Hurry up, the bus will be here any minute!"
Brother and Sister finished their breakfast, got their backpacks, kissed their parents good bye, and left to wait for the bus. The bus arrived, and the cubs got on. Brother sat down next to Cousin Freddy, and Sister sat down next to her friend, Lizzy Bruin.
"Hi, Brother!" said Cousin Freddy.
"Hi, Cousin Freddy!" said Brother.
"Hi, Sister!" said Lizzy.
"Hi, Lizzy!" said Sister. "It's gonna be a great day! The sun is shining, and nothing can go wrong! Absolutely nothing!"
"That's right!" nodded Lizzy. "Absolutely nothing!"
But Sister Bear was totally unaware of what awaited for her, as soon as she arrived at school. Would it be a great day, since the sun was shining?
She was soon to find out.
