The Berenstain Bears Trouble For Sister Bear

Arriving At School

The bus arrived at school, and all the cubs got off the bus. Sister Bear went to her locker, and put her backpack inside. She had a big smile on her face. "I said it before, and I'll say it again!" said Sister. "It's gonna be a great day!"

"Hey, Sister Bear!" said Too Tall.

Her smile turned into a frown, as soon as she heard his voice. She turned around and saw him and his buddies. "Oh, uh hi, Too Tall," Sister said, with a nervous laugh.

"Would you like to have some fun with us?" he asked.

"What kind of fun?" she asked, warily.

"There is this new cub!" said Scuzz. "I think we should give her a warm welcome!"

"Ooh, I love making new friends!" beamed Sister, her smile returning. "What's her name?"

"Her name is Amanda!" said Too Tall, pointing to a cub, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a yellow headband, and glasses.

"I'm gonna go introduce myself to her, right this minute!" said Sister, still smiling. But, Too Tall grabbed her arm.

"Wait, we don't want you to be friends with her!" said Too Tall. "We want you to push her into her locker!"

Sister's smile faded again. "You want me to do what?" she gasped, her eyes wide open.

"Push her into her locker!" Too Tall repeated. "Give her a nice, warm welcome!"

"That's mean, Too Tall!" protested Sister, folding her arms. "I'll have no part of it!"

"I'll make a proposition!" insisted Too Tall.

"What is it?" asked Sister.

"I was thinking that....." Too Tall whispered into Sister Bear's ears. Her eyes grew even wider at what she was hearing from the troublemaking Too Tall.

"It's crazy, it's stupid, I'll do it!" beamed Sister.

"I knew I could rely on you!" said Too Tall. "Now, give Amanda, the warm welcome, she so desperately needs!"

"Yes, sir!" exclaimed Sister. And, she walked towards Amanda. "Hey there, new cub!"

"Oh, hi there!" said Amanda. "I'm Amanda! I'm new to this school! What's your name?"

"I'm Sister Bear, and I am welcoming you to this school, by shoving you into your locker!" she sneered. She pushed Amanda into her locker, slammed it shut, and went back to Too Tall.

"Help, get me out of here!" screamed Amanda.

"You did great, Sister!" exclaimed Too Tall. "High five!"

"Alright!" exclaimed Sister. "That felt good, shoving the new cub into her locker!" And the best part, I didn't get caught! I got away with it!"

"Yes, indeed!" snickered Too Tall. "During lunch, I am gonna do what I promised you, okay?"

"Yay!" beamed Sister, jumping up and down. "See ya later, Too Tall! I have to get to Teacher Jane's class!" And, so Sister and Too Tall and his gang went their separate ways. Sister felt so good, after what she did. She got away with it.

Or has she?

Lizzy watched from afar, and saw the whole ordeal. She just shook her head. "Oh, Sister," she said.
