"Caleb!" I say pulling him into a hug. "What are you doing in Australia?!"

"I could say the same for you," he says hugging me back.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" I say pulling back to look him in the face. "You know I don't like surprises," I smile.

"Ya but you do like this one," He smiled back, walking into my room. "Nice hotel room,"

"Thanks, so how was your flight?" I ask remembering my jet lag in the resent days, walking over and sitting on my bed.

"Good, I slept for most of it," I laugh, he could sleep through anything.

"Of course! You were sleeping on the bus when we had field trips in eighth grade!" I laugh at the memory.

"Ya what's wrong with that!?" He says trying not to laugh.

"They were never longer than 20 minutes," I say losing it yet again. This time he's pulled in to the laughter too.

And so this continues. The harmless bickering, and laughing until our stomachs hurt. Eventually we got hungry and got ready for a walk on the dock our hotel sat on. I could see lots of people already walking up and down the long row of food carts and small tables with home made bracelets, or wood carvings. The whole thing reminded me of Portland. The weather of course much nicer here.

We ate, and boat a couple souvenirs for family. We talked about what'd it be like if I got the part, very doubtful, and about Caleb's girlfriend he finally got rid of.

"So you walked in on her with John?" I asked.

"Yep," he said popping the p, "but for some reason I'm not upset at all. I feel like a huge wait has been lifted. Ya know?" He says taking a bite right in the middle of talking. I flinch slightly, not wanting seafood, and stab another fork full of lettuce. My phone rings right as I'm about to take the bite, and me and Caleb both freeze, looking at each other wide eyed. It rings again and he nods his head towards the phone, knocking me out of my trance. I fumble with the phone, quickly answering it.

"This is Payten," I say as I'd rehearsed if hundreds of times.

"He Payten, this is Diana from your addition yesterday," she speaks with confidence.

"Yes, hello Diana." I say smiling to myself.

"Hello. I have news about your addition. So would you like the bad news or the good news first?" She speaks. I could almost see her smirk. I frown. They probably bought my ticket home, that being the good news.

"Bad news first please," I say masking my disappointment.

"Well as news is you have a hell of a commute to work." She say with a false sadness in her voice. I process what she says, and my face drops. Does she mean what I think she means?

"And the good news?" I say nervously. Taking my lip between my teeth in attempt to ease the suspense.

"You won the additions, and we are so glad to have you on the show." She says with a smiley voice. I attempt to keep my cool, just a smudge longer.

"Yes, thank you so much for the chance. I promise I will not disappoint." I say and quickly say my good byes.

"So?" Caleb says eagerly. Waving his hand slightly to tell me to talk.

"I made it. I'm on the show." I say quietly, starring him in the eye.
