Telling Everyone

"You what?" He said like he didn't believe me.

"I did it." I say, not even believing it myself.

"Oh my god." He said looking down. I smile, looking at him.

"I got the part." I say proudly.

"We have to celebrate!" He says louder.

"We have to tell everyone." I say looking down thinking about how I'm going to do that. This might be a little hard. I wonder if I'll have to live here? Or maybe they'll pay for my plan? Maybe I'll buy an apartment here so when we're filming I can stay there. Ya I like that idea.

"Maybe we'll call them when we get back to the room, ok?" He says smiling. He's my best friend ever. I don't know what I'd do without him. I don't know what I'll do without him here with me.

"Caleb?" I ask quietly.

"Ya," he says looking up from his phone.

"Will you move to Australia with me? We can rent a little apartment here and when I'm filming I can pay the rent and everything. I just don't know what I'll do without my best friend." I ramble. He chuckles slightly. I look up quickly, giving him a weird look. Why was he laughing? I'm asking a big question.

"Of course I will Payten. Gosh I thought you'd never ask." He laughs at me. I smile so big, and walk over and give him the biggest hug I've been ever given.

"Ok, now let's go call everyone," I smile. He puts the money on the table and turns to walk down the dock.

"So who do you want to call first?" Caleb asks. We're back in my room. They said by tomorrow they should have a two bed room open.

"Um. My mom I guess," I say unsure. I don't know how I'm going to tell them I'm practically moving to Australia. How would you take that if you were a mother?

"Ok," he says unlocking my phone and scrolling to my moms contact.

"Do you know what time it is over there?" I ask. What if it like 3 am? I really don't want my mom killing right as I make my big break. Caleb looks at his phone.

"It's 8:23 pm" he smiles. Great everyone will be home...why am I so nerves? Shouldn't I be excited?

"Ok," I say as he dials the number and puts it on speaker phone.

"Hello?" My moms voice comes through the phone.

"Hey mom, I need you to get everyone in the living room and put me on speaker phone," I say calmly.

"Ok," she says and shuffles around a little, yelling at my brother. "Ok everyone's here, what's up?"

"Well you know that audition in Australia I'm at right now?" I ask.

"Yes, do you need money for the plan ticket? And I really don't see why your brothers had to come out to hear this, I mean-" she starts lecturing me on why I called everyone out.

"I'm really hurt by your lack of faith in me mom," I say in a fake hurt voice.

"So you don't need money? What did you-" she stopped herself. I hear her take a deep breath of surprise.

"Ya mom, I did," I say smiling like a freak.

"Oh my lord! That's so great honey! We have to come visit you! Oh are you moving there?" She say excitedly. My phone dinged and I quickly read it, it was from an unknown number.

'This is your manager that has been assigned to you. My name is Davis Morgan, put my number in your phone I will be contacting you at least once a day. If you have any questions about any thing including the show ask. I have also been told to tell you that the show director has bought you a small 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in Australia. They will pay most of it, but 3% will be off your paycheck over the next few months. Please get back to me soon for more information. Thank you.'

"It looks like I've got an apartment already from the director." I said in disbelief.

"Wow honey that's great!" My mom says, Caleb takes the phone and reads the text. "I'm so proud! Well I'll leave you to celebrate! But if you drink keep it in the hotel room! Ok?" She say. I smile at my amazing family.

"Yes mom. I love you!" I say.

"I love you too! And I'll text you when we find a flight over ok?"

"Yep! See ya soon!" I smile. I end the call and look at Caleb.

"I'm actually gonna be a working actress!" I laugh like a crazy woman. I get tackled by Caleb soon after.

"I'm so proud of you! I always knew you'd make it! Who could resist this charm right?" He says sitting up and pinching my cheeks. I smack his hands away and smile.

"Right? I don't know what took 'em so long to see it!" I laugh at my playful ignorance.

"Yep, you knuckle head," he smiled at me.
