CHAPTER 36

Jungkook

I scrunched my nose in pain as soon as I gain consciousness. I immediately opened my eyes and saw mom inside a hospital room.

"Mom?"

She gasped, "Jungkook! Oh my goodness! You're awake!"

She immediately pulled me in a hug, "Oh my sweet baby boy! I thought I lost you!"

I groaned, "How long was I sleep?"

"Just three days, sweetheart. But I was dead worried!" She held my hand.

"Lisa... What about Lisa? Where is she?" I forced myself to sit up despite the pain I'm feeling everywhere.

"I'll go take you to her."

Someone suddenly barged in.

My mom immediately fell quiet and I sat confused.

"Kim Mingyu." I muttered hiss name.

He pulled a wheelchair in, "Hop on, I'll take you to her."

We went out of my room and Mingyu pushed me towards the upper floor of the hospital building and we arrived at the farthest end confinement room with guards standing outside.

They opened the door for me. Only to find Lisa lying unconscious with a Heart hate monitor beside her, beeping every second.

"You're awake." Bambam welcomed us in.

"What did the doctor say?" I immediately asked as soon as I reached her and intertwined our hands together.

"She's still in a temporary coma and the doctor's are still finding out possible side effects when she wakes up." Bambam answered.

"And her injuries?"

"They're almost fully healed. She's totally recovering very smoothly." He assured.

I shut my eyes close and brought her hands to my lips.

"I'm glad."

Bambam sat at the end of the hospital bed, "Eunha's been visiting both of you everyday. Bringing you guys flowers and fruits incase you wake up."

I nodded, "Remind me to thank her later."

The three of us watched Lisa lying on the hospital bed with the perfect face she always had. It almost made me forget that we were with Kim Mingyu.

I glanced at Mingyu and he glanced back, "You didn't come here fo nothing, do you?"

He nodded, "Can we talk?"

And so he took me to the rooftop which was actually a rooftop garden in the hospital. He pushed my wheelchair for a walk.

"Hyung." He called.

Whoa, that started off stronger than I expected.

"I'm sorry about what I did to you back then. And I'm also sorry for using Lisa against you. It was a dick move." He apologized.

I sighed, "It was also half my fault anyway. I was such a jerk of a brother and a friend at the same time."

"Yeah but compared to what I did. It was entirely unacceptable. Please don't hesitate to have me run any errands for you in the future. I want to compensate for everything." Mingyu insisted.
