Willows POV
Whoever discovered that exercise made you less miserable in life, was talking shit. I decided to go for a run at 7:30 am like an idiot and now I want to throw myself down a flight of stairs.I stop running at a tree and begin to stretch. I've only been at the BAU for a matter of months but I am still trying to find my place within the team.
My phone starts to ring from my pocket, when I pull it out and see that my sister is calling."Hey Addison what's up?"
"Why do you sound like your lungs are about to give up?"
"Rude, I'll have you know I have decided to go on a run this morning and now I want to die."
"Is the reason for this need to stay in shape anything to do with your incredibly attractive boss?"
I roll my eyes, one evening when we returned from a case I made the mistake of getting drunk in my home and telling Addison how sexy I think Aaron Hotchner is.
"I'm staying in shape because I am a federal agent and it is a professional requirement, why did you call me anyway?"
"Because The Captain called me and wanted to ask if you would be attending the thanksgiving dinner next week, it's in DC so it's local and I will be there, it's been ages since I've seen you,"
"Why doesn't he just ask me himself? Addy, I hate those dinners and you know it."
"Please Willow! At least think about it,"
"If I am in town and not working I will come ok?"
Addison gave a small squeal through the phone and thanked me, and with that she had to leave to save the lives of babies in LA.
The Captain was my father, I never truly understood why we called him that but at the same time I've never really questioned it. Men like my father is the reason I am single, he is a liar and a cheat, the only reason I was born is because he's a cheat.
When we were young the captain would take Addison and I to lecture and that inspired Addy to become a doctor herself, but what I saw was him charming the female members of his class the same way he probably seduced my mother 30 years ago.My mother died when I was 10 years old, the police called it a robbery gone wrong, I will never forget hiding in my closet, hearing my mother's screams for mercy, they never found her killer. Then I had no choice but to live with my father and his family, I was thrust into therapy which I hated but I do admit it helped me a lot growing up, and god knows I got my fathers money's worth with my trauma. Not that he couldn't afford it. It's not secret that the Montgomery's have money, when I turned 21 I had access to my trust fund which my father provided me, 20 million dollars and I used it for collage and to leave and never look back, since then I have made my own way in the world.
After running home and having a quick shower, I walk through the glass doors of the BAU, I am surprised to see my fellow agents gathered around my desk. Penelope turn and sees me walking towards them.
"Oh Willow! You have had a special delivery, can I just say I didn't open the envelope the security downstairs did and I just happened to see who signed it." She all but pulls me towards a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses on my desk, I pull the card from its holder and it read 'my dear Willow, please do us the honour of attending the thanksgiving dinner love the captain' wow, i can see why they would think this is an admirer it's just his charming act. "You have to tell us who 'the captain' is. He sounds like something out of a fairytale, where did you meet? Was it love at first sight?" I almost wanted to laugh at the colourful woman but I just smiled instead.
