This chapter is based off the season 4 episode minimal loss. I know it's the wrong season for the story but go with it.

It's been two months

It's been two months. Two months since the dinner with my family. Two months since Aaron kissed me outside my apartment. And since then the only time we have spoken to each other is when it is relevant to a case. It was driving me crazy.

If it didn't make me a terrible person to say so I'm almost glad to be going undercover to a cult accused of child abuse with Spencer and Emily.

"What time did the 911 call come in?" I ask while driving to the Separatarian ranch. I am sat in the back seat with Reid while Prentiss and child services officer Nancy Lunde are in the front.

"Around 11pm, I believe the he that they referred to is the churches leader Benjamin Cyrus." Nancy replied. Reid opened the file and started to read.

"He had no criminal record, no record at all really. What else do you know about him?" He asks. That's strange there is always normally a record of something on someone, even if it's just a driving licence.

"It's rumoured that he's practicing polygamy and forced marriages."

"Do we know who the caller is?" Emily asked.

"Uh, Jessica Evanson is the one whose age fits but we can't be sure." Nancy replied. I have a feeling this 'church' isn't going to be pleased about outsiders talking to their children, it wouldn't have been easy to negotiate interviews with all of the children there.

"Considering their view on outsiders it would be best if you didn't identify us as FBI, just use our real names and introduce us as child victim interview experts," Emily instructs. All three of us hide away out badges and guns in the car. We hopefully won't need them while interviewing the children.

We enter the grounds and looking around this place looks like something out of an apocalypse movie, minus the zombies, but still everything is bare, the clothes people are wearing. It's eyrie. Before leaving for this case I was warned that this church, or rather, Cyrus and his followers aren't accepting of people of colour, so I am really looking forward to this. Not.

We pull up to the church and step out of the car.
"I'm looking for Mr Benjamin Cyrus." Nancy says to a man dressed in jeans and an unbuttoned check shirt showing a white T underneath.

"You found him,"  he sounds annoyed and almost bored which is strange, it's not everyday child protection services rock up to your door. Then again I bet he's been expecting this for a long time.

"I'm Nancy Lunde, we spoke on the phone regarding the allegation,"

"Savages, they call us. 'Cause our manners differ from theirs." He recited Benjamin Franklin.

"We didn't come here to hear you cute scripture, Mr Cyrus,"

"Actually it's Benjamin Franklin," Reid corrected, I almost struggled to keep a straight face but I managed.
