The next morning, I woke up to the noises of the other girls getting ready for their lessons. I groaned sleepily at the loud awakening and reluctantly got up to get dressed as well.

I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and freshen up. The Hogwarts badge that were previously been on my black robes had been magically replaced with the Slytherin crest. I also pulled on my dark grey skirt and knee-high socks. I then grabbed my bag and slid on my shoes.

I ran downstairs and into the common room with my green tie in my hand because I had no idea how to tie it properly.

I quickly found Malfoy and Zabini and ran over to them. They looked me up and down and laughed at my stressed out state. I held out the tie to Zabini and he instantly understood what I was indicating. He grabbed the tie and helped me put it on as Draco just stood there mocked us.

"Do you want us to carry you to class as well?" he joked as I just rolled my eyes at him and thanked Blaise for the help after he was finished.

"I better get going now. I have potions with Snape" I said to them.

"They grow up so fast," Blaise teased, wiping away fake tears from his eyes. This resulted in me scoffing sarcastically and after our goodbyes, I rushed out of the Common Room and to my Potions room.

                                                                        ・・・☽☆☾・・・

I didn't take me too long to found my class but by the time I got there, I was already a few minutes late. 'Great, so much for good first impressions'  I thought as I entered the room.

Obviously, everyone snapped their heads around to see who had entered.  "Ah Miss Weasley, so nice of you to join us today. You are late but I will let you off just this once- next time I won't be so forgiving. Now please go sit next to Mr Sage," Professor Snape warned as he indicated to the boy at the back of the class.

I had heard lots of negative things from everyone at home about Snape, but to me he didn't seem as bad as everyone sought him out to be. I didn't want to jinx it so I quickly sat where I was instructed and Snape went back to explaining his general expectations of the class.

"Hey, I'm Noah," the boy smiled as he held out his hand.

"I'm Anna," I said politely as I shook his hand.

Noah had golden-brown, curly hair that was parted down the middle so some a few strands of hair fell sat lazily on his face. His eyes were a spellbinding greenish-blue shade and his gaze was soft and serene. His eyes were so mesmerising I found it hard to look away but little did I know he had also been watching me out of the corner of his eye...

"Mr Sage, would you mind answering me this question?" Snape called out all of a sudden."What would it mean if I was adding powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"he questioned.

"Umm..." Noah started.

"It means you would be brewing a sleeping potion," I whispered and he gave me a grateful smile before repeated the answer to the class.

"Correct, but next time concentrate on your work and answer the question yourself instead of repeating Miss Weasley's answer," Snape stated nonchalantly resulting in Noah's face flushing red in embarrassment and a small blush crept onto my face.

                                                                             ・・・☽☆☾・・・

After the lesson was finally over, I walked over to Noah who was in the hallways (on his way to his next lesson) and when I caught up with him he gave me an awkward smile. He was obviously still embarrassed about what happened in Potions so I tried to reassure him that it didn't really matter.

"Forget about Snape, I was the one who told you the answer so don't worry about it," I said, breaking the silence. "Anyway what lesson do you have next?" I asked.

"Defence Against the Dark Arts, what about you?"

"Same, at least I won't be too lonely now," I joked and he cracked a small smile.

We talked for the rest of the journey to our class, which was on the on the other side of the school, and I learnt a few things about him and his family. His mum was a muggle and his dad was a wizard, making him a Half-blood. He also told me that he was an only child but he really wished he had a sibling.

"You're quite lucky that you're an only child in my perspective, but that's probably just because I have seven" I sighed and he let out a laugh.

The conversation then changed into him asking me how I felt about being a Slytherin.

I had mixed feelings about the whole situation; it was nice to have a change in the family but it was also quite upsetting seeing as everyone was quick to attack and assume horrible things about me even though it wasn't my fault I had been sorted into Slytherin. They would shout horrid names like 'the Weasley Snake' or 'the Weasley disappointment' whenever I passed them in the halls.

"It's not big deal, all the Gryffindors are bang out of order though. I don't know why they are acting like I asked to be a Slytherin or something... and frankly, I'm actually kind of glad at this point that I am one. I don't know if I would even be able to stand being in the same house as them anyway." I shrugged as we entered the DADA classroom where Professor Lupin was already waiting to start the lesson.

                                                                             ・・・☽☆☾・・・
