Our Secret (verkwan)

Part 2

Vernon POV

It's been a month and Everything was going well not as i expected. I've made friends and they're really kind and Scoups really warmed up to me. He and Jeonghan treat me like parents lol. And I was comfortable with Jisoo the most since we really have alot in common. We became really close that he would stay the night at my house and my mom really liked him, cant say the same for my father tho. But i don't care.

I was bored since today was day off from school and I was walking around in the streets trying to get some air when I heard someone screaming. I decided to ignore it but the scream got louder and sounded like someone is in pain and i started to get worried. I followed the voice until i saw a boy that looked familiar being beaten up by some dudes. I ran to him and the dudes got scared and ran off. "Are you okay?" I asked "Yes" he got up and tried to walk but fell down "hey, I'll take you to my house I don't think you'll be able to  walk" I carried him on my shoulder and walked back to my house.

"So, what's your name?" I asked as I cleaned his wounds "Seungkwan" the name sounded familiar and I kept thinking where have I heard that name before until it hit me "Boo Seungkwan?" I asked "yes...wait how do you know?" He asked looking at me confused "We go to the same school, Im Vernon" i said "Oh Chwe Vernon Hansol"
"yeah yeah but call me vernon"
"okay".

After i cleaned his wounds i told him to relax a bit since he looked tired and all of his body was covered in bruises as if it wasn't the first time he got beaten up. The weird thing is he was popular in school and he got alot of friends(Wonwoo, Mingyu, Minghao, Jun) so he didn't look like someone who gets beaten up alot. He really did a great job at hiding his bruises.

3 hours later~

"Hey" I turned around to see the boy who rubbed his eyes looking like a lost puppy. I chuckled  "good afternoon, wanna eat something?" I asked "no Im not hungry and...can I talk to you" the boy asked looking a little nervous
"yeah whats up?"
"Can you please not tell anyone about this?"
He asked looking at me "tell me what happened first, why are these men that looks like they're in their 30s beating a 17 or 18 yrs old boy up" he looked hesitant to tell me at first but gave up "listen, my father is an alcoholic and doesnt work so he would often take money from them and in return they would do anything they want to me" I was shocked. The boy looked like he was about to cry so I rushed to him to comfort him "hey, listen its okay dont worry, do you live with your father?" I asked as he was sobbing silently in my embrace
"y-yes"
"what about your mother"
"she passed away"
I kept thinking until I had an idea "listen I wouldn't tell anyone about this your secret is safe with me. And I think you should stay here with me since its not safe with your dad" the boy squeezed me harder "thank you so much, but why are you doing this" the boy asked me "I...dont know, I guess because I dont think you deserve this" I said as I brushed his hair with my hands "thank you" he said again and this time i can feel him cheering up "no problem" I looked down at him smiling.

"Wear those" I said as I threw him some clothes "thanks" he said as he smiled. I dont know why but his smile did things to my heart. He wasnt mean or anything like everyone said about him. He is really kind. Maybe he build up this image so he could be tough I dont know. "Im done" I looked around to see him and he was kinda drowning in my clothes but it was so cute. "So, you wanna do anything?" I asked
"no, I just want to sleep"
"but you took a nape for 3 hours"
"I cant sleep well these days you shit"
he said and ran upstairs "ummm ok" I think I should go to sleep too.

I woke up on a sound of running and yelling and got out of my room to see my mom pointing a knife at the boy
"who are you?!"
"Im seungkwan and Im Vernon's....friend"
he said "mom relax" I said as I was embarrassed by my mom's actions "He was staying the night"
"okay Seungkwan darling Im really sorry" my mom said "its okay" he said flashing his cute smile "and Vernon i wanna talk to you" my mom said as she walked down stairs to the living room "so me and your father are thinking about buying a house for you since you're already 18. What do you think?" "Thats a really great idea mom!" Ive been waiting for this moment
"ok were buying one tomorrow"
"okay"
I said as I got upstairs to my room to see Seungkwan. He looked nervous
"Im sorry if i caused you any trouble"
"no you did not"
i said "I think I should leave" the boy said
"yeah no"
"what"
"no"
i said "youre not leaving and I actually wanted to talk to you" the boy nodded "my mom told me about moving in to a new house so why dont you come live with me?" I said
"wait what?!"
"Come live with me. We could be like roomates."
"I dont know, Im so fuckin annoying"
"no youre not. Please"

30 seconds later~ 

"Okay"
