Tasha jumped out of her truck with a grunt and headed for the clubhouse grumbling under her breath. A heavy cloud followed her as she thought about the last 24 hours. The thought of going home made her sick to her stomach and she knew that if she said anything to her brother or to one of the guys, it would just be a headache.
Her lips displayed the best smile she could muster when she saw Piney sitting at the bar. "Little early for that isn't it?" She teased as she took a seat next to him at the bar.
Piney turned to her and gave her a wink. "Five o'clock somewhere, sweetheart." He chuckled. He gave her a once over and noticed something wasn't right. "You finally get rid of the piece of shit?" He asked as a serious look came over him.
Tasha sighed knowing that lying to Piney wasn't really an option seeing as he was a human lie detector. "Yes and no." She admitted. "Found him with his tongue down some skank's throat at the bar. Haven't gone home and I really don't want to."
Piney took a drink from his bottle and thought over what she had just said. "You know the boys are still after him for putting his hands on you. If you want out, I'll help you."
She nodded and gave him a thankful smile. "I know. I just need some time to figure shit out." Tasha heard the sound of the heavy door open and looked over her shoulder and rolled her eyes at the sight of her brother and his best friend walking in. "Whatever we just talked about stays between us."
Piney gave her a wink and took a shot. "You got it, darlin."
She chuckled and got up from her spot to move behind the bar to get herself a coffee as the guys made themselves comfortable. Jax saw her behind the bar and smirked. "Since you're behind there, grab me a beer."
Tasha snorted and took a sip of her coffee. "I know you didn't just ask me to get you a beer."
Jax shrugged and gave her an expectant look. When she just cocked her head and raised her brows he rolled his eyes and got up and grabbed a beer for himself and Opie. "What's up your ass today?"
She sighed debating on whether or not to tell him about the douche, but decided against it. Shrugging, she put her mug down and leaned against the bar. "Was a long night. Didn't sleep much."
He eyed her but nodded accepting her answer. "You helping Ma today?"
"Unfortunately." She yawned and refilled her mug and headed towards the door. "If I don't pass out first."
Opie watched her leave and decided to follow. He caught her outside sitting on the edge of the ring. "Hey, what's really going on?" He asked as he lit them both a smoke.
Looking up at him, she rolled her eyes. She knew it was useless hiding it now. "I caught him with his tongue down some skank's throat." She admitted. "This is AFTER he promised that the last time he cheated was the last time."
Opie listened to her explain everything from the night before. Right down to her telling him she hadn't gone home because she didn't want to see him. He sighed as he sat beside her, a hand running up her back. “You know you deserve better, kiddo.” he said sincerely. “You put up with way too much shit.”
Tasha snorted at that and nodded in agreement. “You’re not wrong. I’ve put up with you assholes for most of my life.” she teased. She smiled at the sound of the scoff that escaped Opie. “But seriously. You’re not wrong. I see you with Donna and Jax with Wendy… It makes me want that too.”
Pulling her into his side, he gives her a squeeze and kisses the top of her head. “Listen, the right guy will come along.” he started. “You just have to wade through the assholes to find him and Jax and I will help you do that.”
She chuckled and got up from the ring. “Thanks, Stretch.”
Opie gave her a wink and watched her walk to the office. He stood up and finished off his beer and headed back into the clubhouse to search out Jax. They had some shit to clean up.
