Tasha stomped out of the garage on a rampage and headed for her beat up pickup truck with an equally pissed off Happy following her. "Little girl, will you stop?" He growled as his hand stopped the car door from opening.
Tasha whirled around, her hands balled into fists as she looked Happy over. "You betrayed me." She growled back almost nose to nose with the killer.
He gave her an angry smirk as he pressed his forehead to hers. "So I'm supposed to let you kill yourself?" He growled.
Not taking anymore of his shit she shoved him back and laid a solid left hook to his cheek. "Fuck you, Lowman." She spat as she climbed into her truck and peeled out of the lot.Even after the long cruise she gave herself to calm down she was still grumbling about Happy. She found herself nearing the run down bar that her and some of the guys would frequent just for something new to do. Pulling into the parking lot, she took a minute to calm herself. Taking a big breath, she grabbed her burner, turned it off and threw it in the glove box. "Fuck it." She huffed as she slid out of the truck.
Inside the cracking of billboard balls hitting one another sounds over the lull of classic rock coming from the old juke box in the corner. Tasha smiles when she sees her favorite bartender on the other side of the bar. "Hey, Sid." She said as she sat on a stool.
He returned her smile as he reached for her favorite beer and passed it to her. "Surprised to see you here."
She shrugged and took a big gulp of the beer. "Needed a change of scenery." She said with a wink.
Sid chuckled and threw the bar towel over his shoulder. "Been working hard?" He asked.
She looked at him quizzically when his eyes panned down to her clothes. She forgot she was still in her TM work shirt and ripped jeans.
"Had to get the fuck out of there." She explained.
Sid gave her a wink and went to grab her another beer. "Things finally calm down?" He asked.
Tasha scoffed at the idea. "Not even close." She huffed. "Cant even work without someone breathing down my neck now."
Sid was very well aware of what Tasha did. He helped her when she needed it with back up. He was an old school outlaw, friends with her father a long long time ago.
It was on a job that Happy had caught her with Sid. He blew the whistle on her with her brother. Ever since, she hadn't been able to take a single job. She was stuck in the garage, or in the office.
She sighed and got up to put some coins in the jukebox. While scrolling through the list she felt a presence near her. Looking up, she saw sparkling brown eyes. They were kind and held a little sadness behind them. Smiling, she leaned her hip against the jukebox.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
The man shrugged and gestured towards her beer. "Let me buy you a drink." He offered with a smile that nearly made her knees buckle."Holy shit." She groaned as she went to sit up. The sun had just started to peek through the thin curtains of the cheap motel room and she suddenly realized she wasn't at home. She heard the loud rumble of someone snoring and looked on the floor beside the bed.
Sue smirked at the peaceful look on the guys face. Tapping his forehead she laughed as he jumped. "What the hell?" He stuttered as he looked around the room. His eyes landed on Tasha and he smiled. "Morning."
"Morning to you too." She greeted. "So I guess we can say nothing happened last night?" She asked looking down at her fully dressed body.
The man chuckled and ran a hand over his mohawk. "Nah. You were too wasted for that shit. Besides when I did kiss you, you said it was like kissing Jax?"
She snorted and laid back down in the bed. "Jax is my brother." She explained. "Well guess I should do my walk of shame."
The man smiled and got up from the floor. "Maybe I'll see ya around?" He asked.
Tasha looked him over and smiled. "You just might."Three weeks later, Tasha was sitting in the office when she heard a knock on the door. She looked up and let out a chuckle as she was faced with that damn smile again.
"Well look who we have here." She laughed as she stood from her seat and pulled him into a hug.
He laughed as he hugged her back. "I was just going to apply for the mechanics job." He explained as he pulled away.
Tasha nodded and shrugged. "You know ur way around cars?" She asked. He nodded and she continued. "Just a sec."
She stepped out of the office and yelled through the garage. "Jax! Get your ass in here."
She smiled as she walked back in and stopped into her seat at the desk. "Ya know I never did get your name, sweetheart."
"Juan Carlos Ortiz, but everyone calls me Juice." He said.
She snorted at the nickname. "Ok Juicy."
