(First Person: Y/N)

It's been a few days now, our guest has proven to be very helpful on our boat. He is surprisingly strong and agile, and he is always following commands to a t. He's very quiet though, and often spends times by himself in his room, he avoids the loud and crude sailors' gatherings. Trying to talk to him was awkward, he wouldn't always answer, and when he did, they would be short and simple answers. I figured he was too far into his own thoughts to hear us. Our ship finally reached the docks, we were excited to reach dry land, although the rocking of the ship was sometimes comforting, it felt good to be able to stand on solid ground once in a while. We unloaded the fish as the cool evening air from the sea chilled crowed dock and tossed our hair.

I turned to the man, "well, after you're done helping us unload the fish, I suppose you're going to leave? My crewmates are going to miss you, are you sure you don't want to continue sailing with us?" I playfully jabbed at his shoulder.

"No" he answered thoughtfully, "I should continue moving on, maybe I'll be able to learn more about who I am..." I struggle to hide the look of disappointment on my face, he pipes up, "but I appreciate your kindness Y/N, and care, I owe you one." He says as he jabs your shoulder back, you give him a half smile, as he shrugs his backpack over his back and walks out towards the town.

"Oi, are you gonna miss your little boyfriend?" one of the sailors teased, "I doubt he'll survive out there for long, he can barely remember his name the poor fool."

I couldn't tell if my face was going red with anger or embarrassment, I bit my lip for a moment, "I should go with him... maybe he'll get lost, or worse!" I murmured to myself. We continued unloading our fish, the soft murmurs of small crowds milling around the docks. I couldn't stop thinking about the man. Maybe he wouldn't be able to make it by himself. He's so lost in himself, how would he even manage out in the world. I heaved some heavy ropes and nets into some nearby crates. I looked out in the direction he went, "maybe I should follow him, and make sure he gets to the train safely... it would be okay, and I doubt anyone will notice I'm gone." I mumbled to myself while roughly wringing my hands, "I'll be back before they even realize I'm gone..."

I slowly begin wandering in the direction the man went. Walking away from the sea felt strange, but I just wanted to make sure that man made it out of Oneglia safely. I walked through the busy streets, I imagine that he is heading to the train. I continue to push past locals and tourists until I reached the local train station. It was decently full that day, strangers wandered about, looking at the maps, and checking watches. I looked towards the train's schedule the next train that was leaving was going to Zürich.

"That's quite far..." I told myself as the last reminder to board chimed. I really hoped he was on the train, who knew when the next train would arrive. My pace quickens as I begin walking along the train, staring through the windows, trying to catch a glimpse of the man. "There he is. I see him!" Suddenly a small group of people begin shoving towards the empty doors, "Oh wait, I'm not- ugh! Excuse me!" they continued to push and shove me further into the train, I could smell their musty cologne and cheap hair gel. One of the men accidently bumps me, and knocks me into a seat, "Sorry miss-" I leaped out of my seat and headed towards the train doors, but my attempts were futile.

"Stand clear of the closing doors please!" a loud voice boomed from the train speakers, the doors shut promptly, and the train lurched forward.

"Oh no... oh no no no!" My knees felt numb, I let my body slump into the seat. I had stepped away from my family, my friends, I'm such an idiot. But why am I so worried? I can just go back right? I think I can see the stranger from before, he looks tired, I shouldn't bother him, I guess. Well, there's nothing I can do now but wait till I get to the next stop.

(Thanks for reading and being patient with me haha. I'm sorry that this chapter was so short and boring, but once again, thank you for your support 😊)
