AMBER Potter hated the feeling of being helpless. Amber had sworn she would get out of Malfoy Manor, but after seventeen attempts, more Cruciatus Curses used on her than she could count, and days of any sign of her twin brother, Harry Potter, Amber was loosing all hope of ever escaping this Hell.

Amber had been locked in a windowless room for about three days now, her only source of time being the times that Narcissa Malfoy brought her some food to eat. 

She knew she was the bait. And Amber had to escape before Harry, Ron and Hermione came after her. Malfoy Manor was virtually inescapable, but Amber knew there must be an escape route that nobody knew about. But where she was staying wouldn't help her search for that place. 

Amber heard footsteps coming up and Amber wished she had her wand. However, she threw her wand to Hermione, allowing them to Apparate from Godric's Hollow, and leaving her at the mercy of the Death Eaters. 

The door creaked open, and Amber looked up, expecting it to be Narcissa. 

It was Draco Malfoy. 

DRACO Malfoy knew every time Amber Potter tried escaping the Manor, the trouble she'd get in would be worse every time. When the Dark Lord tired of hearing her attempts to escape, he'd ordered Draco to watch her. Which was why, now he was in Amber's room, and awkward silence filling the room. 

Finally, Amber spoke. "What are you doing here, Malfoy?" Amber asked, an edge to her tone. 

"The Dark Lord has ordered me to watch you since you trying to escape one of the most well warded house in Britain is just, and I quote, 'a nuisance'," Draco replied flatly. 

"Yes, but why you?" Amber said. "Aren't there more qualified people rather than you, who's still in school?" 

"Most likely," Draco admitted. 

"But our favorite Dark Wizard doesn't care much of the Malfoy family because your father failed his mission in fifth year, which means you're expendable," Amber said. 

Draco scowled. "Don't remind me, Potter," Draco hissed. While Amber and Draco were decent to each other in school, the fact remained that Draco hated Amber's brother, and vice versa. 

"So, are you going to follow me around the Manor?" Amber said. 

"Unfortunately," Draco said. 

"Well, you'll most likely be stuck in here all day, since I am locked in here," Amber said. 

"The Dark Lord trusts me to make sure you don't escape. You're allowed to go anywhere on Manor grounds," Draco said, already tiring of the idea of having to babysit the Potter girl. 

"Awww, Moldy Voldy trusts you, let's go get butterbeer to celebrate this monumentous occasion,"  Amber said in a faux voice. 

Draco narrowed his eyes at Amber. Amber simply gave Draco an innocent smile. 

Draco could tell this would be a very exausting job, having to spend time with her. 

AMBER knew her days at Malfoy Manor were limited. Soon, the Dark Lord would kill her. So Amber had to plan her escape properly. She had to bide her time. And she had to make sure no Death Eater ever caught on her in the action of planning an escape. 

So far, her planning was pretty much down the drain. She'd learned that Malfoy Manor had blood wards around the house, some sort of ancient Pureblood ritual. It meant only those of or with Malfoy blood could unlock the wards, or those who had a Malfoy's permission, which obviously wouldn't happen for her. Which didn't look so promising for the Potter girl. 

Amber was determined to get out of there. She just hoped she made it out in time.

A/N: okay, so i know that the only death eater in godrics hollow was nagini (she doesn't have a mark... but we're just gonna call her a death eater). however, for the sake of this story, we're gonna have other death eaters who captured amber. love you all, stay safe, lizzy
