AMBER Potter's acceptance was all Theodore Nott needed in the world. As Theodore left Malfoy Manor, heavy with information that he had to pass onto Dumbledore's Army, and through them, to the Order of the Phoenix, Theodore felt light as a feather. He felt complete, as if the final puzzle of his life that was Amber, fit into place.

However, that puzzle had been ruined long before it had been made, and Amber Potter was the only puzzle piece that truly belonged. But, puzzles can always be rebuilt.

DRACO Malfoy detested having to watch Amber Potter. She always managed to get to his head.

"But you just did."

"Conflicted."

This time was no different.

"There's a difference between being Marked, and being a Death Eater," Amber said.

"What's that?" Draco asked, half ignoring her.

"Think about it," Amber said. "There's a difference between you and your crazy aunt Bellatrix, right? She is a Death Eater, you are Marked. Don't let yourself cross the divide." And with that, Amber reopened her book, leaving Draco to his doubts.

HARRY Potter missed his twin more than anything. It was obvious. They made each other whole.

Harry often found himself stopping his sentences, waiting for his twin to finish it. Then he realized she wasn't there.

Hermione and Ron could see the toll of Amber's absence taking a heavy hit to the Boy who Lived.

For the first eleven years of his life, Amber had been the only person tying him down to the planet. There were days when he had just wanted to end his miserable life, but Amber had convinced him to stay for just one more day.

Merlin, Harry wouldn't know what to do without Hermione and Ron. When Amber was captured, Harry was inconsolable.  He was blinded by grief, and almost attempted a mission to Malfoy Manor until Hermione and Ron talked sense into him.

"HARRY! You cannot go straight into enemy territory! Malfoy Manor least of all!" Hermione said.

"We all miss Amber," Ron said. "But mate, going into Death Eater central?"

"We will get her, but we must wait for now," Hermione told him.

Harry sighed. He knew deep down they were right. But he needed Amber to be safe. Harry didn't know how he'd be able to live without Amber if she was gone.

"Your sister is safe, she can survive," Hermione said.

THAT had been nearly a month ago. Harry was slowly loosing all hope of ever getting his twin back. He would've been a fool to not know there was a war on the horizons. And there would be casualties on both sides, but Harry clinged on to the hope that Amber would survive.

Harry could remember the day Amber got captured clear as day. It was the day of Fleur Delacour's and Bill Weasley's wedding.

And the reason she was captured was all because of the stupid bathroom. It was normal Potter luck. And most of the time, Harry hated it.

"I'M starting to lose my mind." Amber Potter said, flopping onto her bed.

Draco Malfoy didn't look up from the desk as he said "You've already lost your mind."

"From boredom, Malfoy," Amber said.

"Read a book or something," Draco said in an 'I don't give a fucking shit' tone.

"I've read every book in Malfoy Manor," Amber deadpanned.

"It's not my problem," Draco replied, not looking up from the letter he was writing.

"A bored Amber Potter is much more dangerous than an occupied Amber Potter," Amber said.

Draco ignored her as he continued to write.

Amber peeked over his shoulder. The only words she managed to catch was escape before Draco shoved Amber away and shoved the letter in his pocket.

"Mind your own business, Potter," Draco said.

"I don't have any business to mind," Amber retorted.

Draco was really regretting having to watch energetic ball of energy that was Amber Potter.
