Nova's pov.

I've always hated being the new kid, all the staring, whispering, people introducing themselves to me. I hate how they would always ask why I'm named Nova.

I was named because my Mom and Dad loved astronomy and Nova means light star and they always said I was their shinning star. I've loved astronomy for as long as I can remember. My Dad and I would lay out of the grass and name constellations.

"So honey, are you excited about your new school?" my Mom asks

"I don't know." I reply. I used to be excited about going to a new school, I always thought about it a a fresh start, clean slate.

"Well I'm sure you'll make plenty of friend." She says. She's not wrong I never really had trouble making friends, it's keeping them which is the hard part.

Back home in Miami I had a ton of friends but they always pushed me to open up or talk. Eventually they stopped waiting for me and just left me alone altogether. I guess that's what happens when you push people away to so much that they just don't come back.

About twenty minutes later the car stops in front of this very large house (picture above). I guess I should say that my Dad worked for NASA when we used to live in Florida and he enjoyed it and payed well. Another reason I pushed people away was because my Dad died of lung cancer a year ago. My Mom decided to move so that we could get a fresh start, and I can't say I disagree with her. I hated listening to the kids at school saying things like, 'look it's the sad girl,' or my teachers saying, 'the death of a loved one is sad, but it shouldn't effect your school work.'

I walk into the house and immediately ran up the stairs to see where my new room would be. I walked in to my room, it was huge, although it was empty right now so I decided to go downstairs to help my Mom load in some of the boxes.

"Hey Mom do you need some help with the boxes?"

"Oh thank you dear, can you start with the ones for the kitchen." She said, not even turning around to look at me as she is currently preoccupied with the people carrying in the furniture. My Mom isn't really controlling but when it comes to where the furniture should be she turns into a control freak.

After Mom and I finished bring in all the boxes with a little help from the movers I picked up all the boxes that were for my room and brought them upstairs although I needed help carrying up the furniture. After we got it all up we started placing and putting together all the furniture.

(Time Skip)

It took me five hours with help get all my furniture set up, another two hours to get all my cloths in and organized into my drawers and closet, and another hour and a half getting all of the lights, posters, pictures, and instruments set up. It took so long to set up but I think I'm proud of how it turned out.
