At lunch I was sitting next too Miguel and Eli, listening to a teacher going on and on about cyber bullying.
"Now I'm not gonna name names but a Mother called me up, saying that her son had been crying over people online making fun about his facial deformity." She said making my head shoot up.
I looked over Eli and noticed people had already started pointing and whispering at him. Not naming names my ass, it was obvious when she finished talking that it was about Eli.
"Hey don't worry about them." I whispered to Eli, as I reached under the table to grab his hand to calm him down.
"Hey if you want to stop getting bullied, my karate dojo is looking for recruits." Miguel said.
Eli looked like he was about to respond when Demetir spoke up.
"Hear that guy a little karate and you're gonna kick some major ass." He said sarcastically, making me glare at him.
"Hey I'm just saying if you join I'm sure I can get you guys all discounts. Hey Nova what about you I know you were looking to get back into karate." Miguel said looking at me.
"You did karate?" Eli said giving me a confused look.
"Yeah I used to do it back in Miami." I said.
The bell finally rang and I walked with Miguel and Eli since we all had bio together.
"So, what are you going to the Halloween dance as?" I asked looking at them.
"I don't know I want to go as Deadpool but the costume is a bit pricey so I might just go as something else." Miguel said.
I nodded then looked at Eli. "What about you Eli?". I asked.
"Oh a I don't know. I'm thinking of not going." He said making me stop in my tracks.
"What do you mean you're not going? You have too go, please." I said pleading with him.
"Yeah man, come on it's your first dance with us." Miguel said pointing between me and him.
"I'll think about it." Is all he said before we got to class and took our seats.
I looked around the class for somewhere to sit. I was going to sit next to Eli but Miguel sat down before I could. I ended up sitting down next to a girl who I know to be named Aisha. I've seen Aisha in a couple of my other classes but we didn't really talk much.
"You're Aisha right?" I asked and she nodded. "Well hi my nam-."
"Nova. Yeah I know your name. You're the girl that punched Kyler and gave him a black eye." She said making me nod and smile. "If you ask me he deserved it." She whispered leaning over to me making me smile.
