Nova's pov
The next day at school I was sitting next to Eli in Spanish class. I haven't really hung out with him since I joined Cobra Kai. Miguel and I try to get both Demetri and Eli to join but Demetri always says no, and Eli says he won't go without him.
"Hey Eli." I whisper to him making him look at me. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house later. I have Cobra Kai till about 6 o'clock you could come over around 6:30 if that works?" I asked.
"Ok that sounds fun?" He answered.
We continued on listening to the teacher talk about how to ask for things in Spanish. I honestly don't know why I decided to take Spanish, I find it quite boring actually. I knew when my Mom asked me which language I wanted to take I should've said French.
"Hey lip." Someone said from behind where Eli and I sat. "The only reason that girl sitting right there is friends with you is because she feels sorry." He said.
I looked to my right to see Eli staring down at his notebook trying not to let tears spill out of them.
"HEY!" I said while starting to stand up. "I'm friends with him because I want to, you hear that I.want.to, and because he's a nice person. Unlike you, you're just a grade A asshole." I said now fully aware that the entire class was staring at me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that Eli was no longer in his seat. I walked out of the classroom to the only place I know where he might've gone. I walk up to the storage closet and gentled knock on the door.
"Hey, Eli it's me can you please open the door." I said softly. Eli opened the door to reveal his tear stained cheeks and glossy eyes. I quickly engulfed him in a hug while he cried on my shoulder.
"It's not true what he said right?" He said though sobs.
"What's not true?" I asked softly pulling away from the hug.
"That you're only friends with me because you fee sorry for me." He answered tears still spilling from his eyes.
"Of course it's not true." I said bringing him back into a hug. "If you stuck around a bit longer you would've heard me say that 'I'm friends with you cause I want to. I also called that guy a grade A asshole, and probably got myself detention tomorrow." I said. Eli laughed slightly at the last part making me smile. "Now come on let's go to lunch." I said standing up holding my hand out for him to take, he grabbed my hand and we walked to lunch together.

Eli's pov
I got to Nova's house at around 6:15. It's now 6:25, I've been standing outside her house contemplating whether to knock or ring the doorbell. I finally decide to knock and her Mom answered the door.
