Chapter 4

The days went by really fast. Jungkook spent most of his time away from home, whether it was working, exercising, or taking photos, or staying with Yoongi.

Yes, especially the latest.

And although his friends thought that Yoongi and he spent hours under the covers, the truth is that all their interactions were quite normal. The only thing that could be considered romantic would be the way they walked, holding hands and their fingers intertwined, or the way they said goodbye: sometimes a kiss on the cheek that lasted longer than the stipulated time, and other times a chaste kiss that lasted too little.

But it was better this way. They were both reserved people and they liked to take things slowly. It is true that their first meeting was by no means reserved and calm, but it was an exception.

And although the desire was there, they both preferred to go slowly. They hadn't explicitly talked about it, but if one of them had wanted to go faster, they would have taken the step by now, right?

"Maybe he's waiting for you to give him a go, you know, for being chivalrous and such." Taehyung had told him once when they were talking about the alpha.

Despite the double-meaning comments they told him about Yoongi and him, just to see him red as a tomato, they both cared for Jungkook. They wanted to see him happy.

"It's a good signal. At least he doesn't see you just as a hole to stick his penis into." Taehyung finished with a grimace of displeasure.

"Do you think I have to talk to him to speed things up a little more?"

“Don't rush if you are not prepared, Jungkook. Take the opportunity you have to observe how the real Min Yoongi acts and what he is like." Jimin chimed in from the kitchen, where he was making breakfast.

"He's a good person, hyung. It really is. And I'm not saying it just because I like it."

"I know he's a good person, otherwise I wouldn't have let him get close to you. It's just that I want you to be sure of the steps you're going to take, because the more you advance, the greater the responsibility of both of you in your relationship. You have to make sure that the two of you are on the same page."

"And a good first step would be to speak explicitly about what each expects from the other." Taehyung added, who had started circling his back to calm his nerves. "Avoid a lot of confusion and give you more security when it comes to moving forward in your relationship."

"Thanks, hyungs."

“There is nothing to be thankful for, Jungkookie. Whatever you choose, we will support you." Jimin assured him stroking her hair.

"We're meeting today, so I'll speak with him. See you later?"

"Sure, no problem. Let us know if you need us to pick you up. The weather report said it's going to rain."

Jungkook snorted before heading out the door. "Whenever it says that, it never rains."
