Ben sat at his desk, his mind filled with unease as he reviewed the messages he had sent to Alex earlier. There was a lingering worry that tugged at his thoughts. It wasn't entirely surprising that Alex had chosen to skip school, given his tendency to be moody and unpredictable. However, the lack of response from Alex was concerning, leaving Ben unsure of his whereabouts.

Turning to a boy who bore a resemblance to a less-than-attractive frog, Ben decided to seek some answers. "Hey, man," he addressed the boy. "Have you seen Alex today? He hasn't replied to any of my messages, and I'm not sure where he's gone off to. You hung out with him playing pool yesterday, right? Did everything go alright?"

The frog-like boy's memory flashed back to the conversation they had after the Jimmy-Phillip incident. Alex had uttered words that stuck in his mind: "Let's not tell Ben anything about this; he'd probably lose it and go after Yoosun."

It was a difficult position to be in.

"Yeah, we called it a night pretty early," the frog-like boy replied cautiously.

Ben let out a sigh of relief. "What's really going on here? It reminds me of that time during his middle school years when he said he wanted to take a solo trip to the beach."

Lost in his thoughts, Ben was startled when a cheerful chuckle filled the classroom. He spun around to find F/N standing at the entrance, holding a bag brimming with cans of Coke. "Alex had a middle school phase?" F/N questioned with amusement.

Ben chuckled sheepishly as F/N approached and placed the sodas on his desk. "Oops, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that."

"Don't worry, clock tower," F/N reassured with a grin. "I promise I won't let him find out you slipped up. Hehe." F/N then pretended to scan the classroom. "So, where's Alex? I brought all this soda over to check on him and make sure he's not faking it."

The frog-like boy cast a wary glance at F/N.

Sighing, he rolled his eyes and replied, "He bailed on us right before I was about to challenge him! He claimed he wasn't feeling well. That jerk!" He slumped into the empty chair beside Ben. "He knew he would lose, so he backed out at the last minute!"

Ben eased up a bit upon hearing the explanation. "Ah, he should have just gone straight home like a responsible student. Instead, he faked being sick to avoid losing to you. You're not that great!"

F/N let out a sigh and playfully punched Ben's arm. "We'll have to wait and see. How about we meet up after school and settle it one-on-one? I'll kick your ass!"

Ben chuckled and nodded. "Deal! Maybe we can swing by Alex's place on the way to make sure he's alright."

F/N flashed a wry smile, pleased that he had managed to bring Ben back to his senses and provide a fitting response. Now, they would have to trust that Alex could handle the situation from here on out.

F/N and Ben walked out of the school grounds, just in time to spot Eugene approaching Gray near a nearby convenience store. Eugene held up a grocery bag, clearly obtained from the store.
