annabelle's pov-

---monday 20 feburary---

i woke up to a shivering breeze.

wait how the fuck is it cold?

i slowly opened my eyes. my sleepy eyes were hit by the harsh rays of the burning sun that almost blinded me. the curtains were open wide enough for me to see the rain that fell on the outside. i waited for any sound. any indication of my mother's presence, the hotel music still being played filling in the silence.

nothing.

i sat up crossing my legs on the bed. i turning to my bedside table i saw a scribbling on a browned-stained, crumpled paper and what looked like 20 pound note. i picked up the paper to read it.

enjoy

it was written in my mom's handwriting.it was messier than usual she must have been in a rush. i quite expected this. my mom and i had not come here for holiday but work. my mum took her job very seriously, she must had gone earlier to prepare things

shivering chills spread through my body forced me to push the thoughts aside and get up.

no point in forcing myself to sleep again. the strange clock on my bedside had 10:58 on it. hugging my cold body i pushed open the door to my mom's room and i was right. her clothes were spread on her bed, the suite case was on the floor open wide in a mess, rain was falling in her room due to the window being open making the room even colder than mine and there were several dirty cups on the bedside table.

did she even sleep?

the room smelled like coffee, perfume and dew.

coffee...

so she didn't sleep.

i shut the window and gathered the clothes and tidied the room for her. finishing, i started to hum 'so this is love' from cinderella.

a/n:play that^^^

i went to the bathroom to get changed and ready to go out. all whilst humming against the soft taps of the rain on balcony.

i got dressed and grabbed the 20 pound note along with a black umbrella, i ventured down to the ground floor of the majestic hotel. all around i was greeted with small smiles. i smiled back greeting the staff.

i stepped out of the hotel doors and felt the rainy breeze.

thanking who ever was up there that i was smart enough to wear a leather jacket which was thick enough to save me from the cold.

i wondered how they were going to shoot the movie in such weather...

my surroundings were calming. the town didn't really look like a town.it was filled with signs and it was quite industrial. there was many strong buildings and shopping centers that looked new. dior, channel and many other stores filled the streets.at the same time there were worn down buildings and stores that looked like they were made in the very late 1990s.it was more of a modern village or a mini vintage london with a fair country side feel to it. but at the same time the class and grace was there. there was lavish greenery around me. if i looked beyond the buildings, there were huge fields of flowers and dense forests surrounding the town.
