annabelle's pov-

---sunday 19 feburary ---

i woke up by my mum's gentle shaking. i realised that i had again fallen asleep crying. this time i was on a plane.

"we reached annie."my mom said her voice still emotional.

"alright" i croaked showing the clear sign to my mom that i was upset too. i shot her a small smile which she replied with one of her own.

there was light chatter in the cabin over the angelic voice of the air hostess give out information about the weather, time and other information. my and my mother shared a comfortable silence as we got our stuff together, waiting for the door to open so we could exit the plane.

"oh sorry." a deep voice called out to me as a small bag fell on my foot.

awakened from my daze, i saw a boy bend down to pick up the bag.

"oh it's fine."i answered lazily, not moving as the boy's face was dangerously close to my knee.

"are you okay?" he asked when he had picked up his bag, facing me. he had a shy, nervous smile as his light brown eyes, that was heavily covered with messy brown hair, glanced at my foot.

"yeah, yeah i'm fine. i'm not made out of glass am i?" i said.

i was quite amused really. he looked really embarrassed. i really would not have even noticed the bag if he hadn't apologised. my remark certainly did not ease the tension in him. instead, his already blushed cheeks had turned a scarlet red.

"alright then." he mumbled under his breath swiftly turning around.

"cute."i chucked at the flustered boy.

some how, he had heard that as well. i watched the tips of his ears turn the same deep red as he momentarily tensed. i let out another giggle and shook my head, watching him rush away. looking away i saw my mother walk towards an exit so i followed.

with heavy steps, my mom and i exited the plane sending the air hostesses small nods in reply to their overly stretched smiles.
