I should have realized it as soon as it happened. It caught me of guard. I guess it happened when he saved me that morning, but when it happened isn't as big as how it had happened. But I know it happened. Why else would he act so strange around me? I knew it. That boy was offered the apple of Eden, and without thinking twice, took a bite. He had fallen in love with a repulsive creature such as me. A living in love with one of the dead. It is, indeed, the forbidden fruit. The worst part about it, is that Kagome knew this. There was no saving him now. No matter how much I cared, Kagome won't change his mind. "All those who pose a threat towards our existence will be eliminated. That's the way things are, master. That's the way you wanted it to be, master." Kagome told me during lunch. That's Kagome for you. Always tells the truth and always obeys orders. He will never goes against any orders, previous or current, for he is the ultimate butler. But after awhile it gets annoying. Like now. But then I stopped myself. Was I too about to take a bite out of the apple? No. I must decline it at all cost possible, no matter what happens. "So, I guess we're having take-out for dinner tonight." I said with a smirk. But something just didn't feel right. Something inside of me told me it wasn't a good idea. But I immediately dismissed it. I had no intention on getting caught up with a living this early in the game.
