chapter 5

hyunjin's pov
I hoped into the backseat of Jisung's car. "So where are we even going?" Jisung looked back at me and giggled as Seungmin said "We're going bowling with Jisung's boyfriend. I mean Lee Know and his friends" Jisung smiled at Seungmin mentioning Lee Know being his boyfriend. It was a short drive to a cute little bowling alley, I had never been to before.

We walked inside to see the group of boys already there. They had two lanes for everyone meaning we would split up into two separate groups for playing. It was decided that the group on the left lane would be Jisung, Lee Know, Chan, and Changbin. Meaning Jeongin, Seungmin, Felix, and I were on the right. We started bowling. It was quickly figured out that I was the best bowler and Jeongin was the worst of our game. Every time I looked over, Lee Know and Jisung were in their own little world. Constantly hugging each other or holding hands.

Whilst Chan and Changbin were trying to top each other with each bowl. Even though our side of the lane was much more relaxed, we were still in an intense battle to win. It was my last bowl, when I threw the ball straight down the middle, hitting a perfect strike. Seungmin, Jeongin, and Felix went wild. That's when Felix embraced me in a warm hugs as he bounced up and down with excitement.  After enjoying the hug for a little bit, we both sat down to watch the rest of the group try to top my strike. The game ended and I won by a landslide. On the other side Chan won barely beating Lee Know.

We all decided to get some food as we were all starving. There was a nice little family-owned restaurant right down the street from the bowling alley. We walked in and were seated at a large table. I sat in between Felix and Seungmin. Right before I had the chance to open the menu, I got a call from an unknown number. I picked up my phone and walked outside to take the call. "Hello, Mr. Hwang. This is the hospital. I am sorry to inform you that your mother has not been doing to well. We would recommend that you come as soon as possible so we can discuss further plans." Hearing those words felt like knives were being jabbed into my heart. "Okay, I been there very shortly" I managed to say before collapsing to the ground. Tears swelled my eyes and I started to sob. I stayed like that for a while quietly sobbing to myself.
