chapter 9

hyunjin's pov
The doctor left, needing to attend to other patients. I just stood there trying to process what he just said. That's when my brain shut off and I just started running. I didn't know where I was going but I knew I was getting out of the hospital. I ran a few block until I ended up on a little bridge crossing this small creek/river thing.

"Would it be nice to just jump into this river and leave all the pain behind" The voice in my head started again. It had been a few days since I heard this voice but it was back. "Come on, it would be so much easier. No one will even miss you" I repeatedly hit my head with my hands trying to get it to stop. Pulling and ripping my hair just trying to stop the evil voice in my head.

I sat at the edge of the bridge, being able to be in between the rails. Honestly, I debated just letting go and jumping in. Before I had the chance to even think about it more, I heard something. "Hyunjin, are you out here" It was Felix walking around aimlessly looking for me.

felix's pov
I kept searching for Hyunjin after he ran out of the hospital. Seungmin and I decided to split up to cover more distance. I eventually ended up in this little wooden area. It was extremely pretty, there were tons of flowers blossoming everwhere and I could hear a river flowing. It was quite peaceful.

I stopped walking to soak up the environment around me. That's when I hear muffled whimpers. I looked around for the source of this noise. That's when I found the boy sitting on a little bridge over the river. His legs were dangling over the edge. He was sitting very close to the edge, nothing to stop him from falling. I wanted to just grab him and pull him into my arms but I stopped myself for some reason.

I don't want to startle him causing him to fall into the river that was flowing pretty fast. I decided to instead talk to him. "Hey Hyunjin, do you wanna talk?" He looked back at me a little surprised but quickly looked back at the water. I could see him trying to hold back his tears. His white was stained with tears.
