Joshua's POV

Y/N had tears rolling down her face as she finished revealing her heartbreaking past. I was speechless. I hated myself for not being there for her, for being too caught up with being an idol that I neglected my sister who needed me.

I pulled my sister into a hug as tears fell down my face.

"I'm so sorry," I began, "I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that on your own. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you."

She hugged me back and responded, "Don't be Joshie. I don't blame anyone. If anything, I am sorry that I didn't open up to you sooner. I thought I could get through it on my own but I guess I was wrong."

I pulled away from the hug to hold her hands and look at her in the eyes. "Y/N, you aren't still blaming yourself for what happened, right?"

Y/N looks down at our hands and replies, "I honestly don't know. I felt like I should've been a better friend and that I should've done more to help him."

I gently squeezed her hands to make her look up at me. "Don't blame yourself. You did your best and so did everyone around him. There is nothing you can change now. I know it's hard to accept that a close friend of yours is now gone but slowly, you need to move on. So please, don't put yourself through any more pain by blaming yourself, I am sure Johnathon wouldn't want that.

Y/N POV

After talking it out with Joshua, it made me realize that he was right. I remember when Johnathon said that it was no one's fault. Perhaps he knew that his friends could end up blaming themselves at one point. I also remember that there were many times where Johnathon would call me his sister. I guess we were more than best friends, we were like family.

I hugged Joshua as I felt a sense of clarity and a stronger purpose. "Thank you, Joshie. You're the best."

I should move on and continue to live my life with no worries. I finally understand that moving on doesn't necessarily mean leaving Johnathon and all those happy memories behind but keeping all those memories in my heart, where my best friend said he will be as well.

The next day:

The practice went very well. I landed most of my jumps and my mood was more on the bright side. It felt amazing.

"Let's go to a café and relax a bit. My treat!" Coach Yuna offered.

We all packed up and walked to a café. Surprisingly, Ye-Lim decided to join too.

We set our drinks down as we took a seat.

"So, how are you guys feeling? World Championships is coming up really quickly." Yuna questions.

"I feel kinda nervous but ready." You Young smiled.

"I think I will do fine because I practiced my program so much," Jun-Hwan assured.

"I am super excited! I can't wait!" Eun-Soo beamed.

"I'm fine. I am confident that I will win." Ye-Lim bragged.

"How about you Y/N?" Yuna looked my way, requesting my answer.

"Umm, I guess I feel anxious about it, but I am also excited about it," I answered.

"You did so well today, Y/N." You Young complimented.

"Yeah! You were falling constantly before. What made you so good instantly like that =? Give me your secrets!" Eun-Soo demanded jokingly.

"Well, the thing is..." I began.

"Ahhh, so that's why you were so out of it before?" Yuna asked.

"You poor thing!" Eun-Soo wailed.

I told them everything I had told Joshua. I wanted them to understand why I acted the way I did and how I am ready to move on. I wanted to reassure them that I will continue to grow my skills and work hard without anything holding me back.

No One's POV

When the team heard Y/N's story, they were in shock. That someone so kind and happy looking went through something like that. They realized why Y/N worked so hard to be on the Korean team and why she has so much determination and passion. Not only did she want to keep the promise with her friend, but she also wants to do it for herself and her team.

"Let's make a bet, Y/N. Bet that I will win that gold at the Olympics coming up and that you wouldn't get it. If I win, you have to do whatever I say. If you win, then it's the other way around." Ye-Lim announced.

"What? What kind of bet is that?" Jun-Hwan gasped. He didn't understand why a bet had to be against members of the same team.

"Deal!" Y/N shouted as she shook Ye-Lim's hand.

"HUH??? THAT'S CRAZY!" You Young and Eun-Soo both exclaimed at what they just witness.

Yuna was just sitting there, happy that the team was coming together and motivating each other. It was a nice little get together for all of them.

Y/N POV

I just got home when my phone went off.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Y/N!"

"Yes, Hoshi?"

"Well, I was wondering if you can visit us at Pledis and watch us practice our new song? We would really love to get some feedback or something." Hoshi begged. I can somehow feel like he was pouting on the other end of the line.

"Ummmm. Sure, I can come by after my practice though." I chuckled.

"YAYYY! Okay, we will see you tomorrow then!"

"Okay! I will buy you guys some snacks too so send a list of what you guys would like."

"Will do! Goodnight!"
