Soundwave's systems started it stir in the thick, rich dawn sky. His attention immediately turned to his location, he was in a human base. He was being guarded quietly until further orders he assumed. He tried to remember what had happened yesterday. Of corse, he had recharged on a building and was now put in quarantine so to speak. He slowly powered on the engines in reply the humans started to panic.
"Someone's stealing the plane!"
"Stop right there. Turn off the plane. It is under military inspection."
Soundwave let out his cassettes. Some of the humans screamed but others started to fire at Soundwave's beloved pets. He ordered his pets to come back and as soon as they were safe in his chassis he let out loud banging sounds which irritated the humans. He flew out quickly before the humans recovered from the loud noise.
He flew over an open desert wasteland. He pinpointed his location and headed back towards the autobot base. The door opened as he neared and he transformed. His presence went unnoticed unlike his disappearance. Miko talked rapidly to Jack, Raf, and Bumblebee.
"It's the perfect plan! It's got to work!" Miko exclaimed excitedly. She looked Soundwave's way," Shh here he comes! Let's start phase one." All three males nodded quickly and dispersed.
Soundwave glanced at Nighttracer who screamed as she was electrified. Soundwave raced to where Nighttracer lay weakly.
"Hope you talk some time soon. I would hate to kill you." Flareup sneered. "Besides I bet Elita-1 wants some answers. Just saying Decepticon."
"I won't tell you anything!"
"Tough luck." She lunged at her again getting ready to electrified but instead of meeting Nighttracer's frame, it met Soundwave's. He could feel the electricity running through his wires. Flareup gasped and let go of the electric stick. Soundwave grabbed the stick staring at Flareup menacingly, which for most who don't know Soundwave wouldn't look any different from his happy side. Flareup received the message and backed away seeing the stick in his grip. He looked down at it and crunched it in his cervo. Flareup's optics widened and she raced towards the door. Soundwave looked at Nighttracer who only stared back. He gently wiped her optics with the tips of his digits and unlocked the straps keeping her down. As she stood he played the recording he heard the last solar cycle:
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor, lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss meHe opened his cervo towards her and she gently took it. He pulled her into a hug remembering when they had nights together. Hugging each other under the moonlight each day. Having all the time just to themselves to make out in the night.
"Come on, let's both go. Let's leave this place!"
Soundwave looked at the ground dropping her cervo.
"S-Soundwave?" she gulped staring at him with big, rounded optics.
Soundwave shook his helm,"Nighttracer: Leave." He turned away not baring the sight of her broken spark. She too turned away not standing to see Soundwave anymore.
"Soundwave?"
Soundwave pushed Nighttracer back on the table and strapped her. Elita-1 alongside Optimus walked into the room, Flareup not far behind. Soundwave looked up at them as if doing nothing. "Soundwave, you are not suppose to be in here," Optimus said sternly. He felt fire burning his spark at the sound of his orders but obeyed them. He walked away from Nighttracer as she cried silently.
Flashback
Soundwave and Nighttracer walked to Soundwave's housing unit holding cervos. He opened the door and allowed Nighttracer to stride in first. Ravage flicked his audio receptors at Nighttracer and walked towards her happily. She smiled patting him gently on the helm. Soundwave couldn't help but notice the confidence with her every move as if she had studied and memorized each part of his housing unit.
