Chapter 1
Lazily, Miyeong walked over to her vanity. Waking up isn't one of her favorite things to do. She likes sleeping, like any adult would've wanted but she wasn't like that. She knew that ever since she was born, it was her purpose to do what her father does best.
She took a hot shower and proceeded to dress herself up. As much as she would've let some of her cuts heal, she can't. She can't rest, she can't be weak and most definitely, she cannot be absent. Her father already took the absent spot away, why would she take it though?
Wearing a black shirt and black cargo pants with black boots, you can even say she's attending a funeral. She said one time when someone asked her why she wore white or black outfits, "You'll never know when there's going to be a funeral."
It spooked the new people and vowed to never cross her again as well. Not because she's the heir, but because she was scary as fuck, as Lee Donghyuck or Haechan would say.
Haechan is one of her younger brother's friends. She never grew close to them and didn't care whether they were too young or too immature. She had seen their potential and that was the only thing that matters to Miyeong's eyes.
Walking downstairs, she saw her brother, sitting comfortably on the couch and looked like he had no problem in the world. Miyeong sighed, reminding herself that this is for him.
The reason why Miyeong got the illegal business after her father died, is that Jisung agreed to marry some stranger, rather than fighting people. She didn't contest anything on Jisung's decision. He was too kindhearted and pure for the cruel world she faces every day. Miyeong would do anything for her dongsaeng. They weren't close as they were before because Jisung pleaded with Miyeong to stop killing and hurting people.
But what can she do? Those people are the same people who wanted to hurt their family, mostly Jisung since he got all of his father's riches. Miyeong was okay with getting the scraps, or what they say she had, she only wanted her brother's safety and a secure future for him as well.
Jisung noticed his noona's presence. He offered a small smile and she returned it with a nod. Miyeong walked out of the house, getting on her motorcycle, and drove off to their hideout.
Whilst driving, her peripheral vision saw a man, distraught, and almost got shouted on by different drivers that grew impatient with his attitude. The man stood out like a sore thumb, with his blue-ish grey hair. Everyone was eyeing the guy, scared for the truck driver who was screaming his head out of his window.
Miyeong grew curious about the guy. She followed the truck and realized that she's in an open parking lot, to which he didn't even notice. Her eyes saw a dagger on the driver's hand.
Miyeong rolled her eyes, 'You're going to harm someone because of road rage?' she thought. It was pathetic for her, or even for everyone. The fact that you're ready to be jailed because the guy caused a bit of traffic was wrong.
"Hey, kid." The truck driver called the attention of the guy. Miyeong eyed the guy and hid nearby. She was trying to give out signals to him and not once did he give out his attention. She grew impatient and decided to just overhear the conversation.
"Yeah?" The guy looked at the driver and was scared for his life as he started to run. As he was running he saw Miyeong and fear had already surfaced in his eyes. Miyeong immediately ran in front of the guy and aimed her gun at the driver's skull.
"Who the fuck are you? Do you work for him?" The driver said.
Miyeong moved forward and kicked the dagger out of his hand, in one swift move, she shot the guy in the skull. The guy behind her gasped.
"Yah! Are you crazy? You murdered him." He angrily said.
The girl didn't even flinch. She smirked, "So I should've killed you instead?"
The guy gasped, even more, he couldn't believe that the girl in front of him is capable of murder, "You could be jailed, stupid! I could be accessible for murder! Most of all, I could fail college!"
"Damn it, I was doing a social experiment and you killed the guy!" He said angrily. Miyeong just stood there, seemingly unfazed by the mental breakdown he had.
She shrugged, fished out her phone in her pocket, and called her men to take the drugs that were in the truck. She chuckled lightly at the fact that the guy did nothing but spew nonsense and accused her of murder when he was the one who got saved from it and a possible drug case.
"What's your name?" Miyeong's calm and soft voice broke the silence that grew on them.
"Doyoung." The guy said, slightly bothered on why did the girl asked.
She nodded in return, "You're coming with me."
Doyoung stared at her with a surprised look.
'What exactly did this woman is thinking?' Doyoung thought.
