Chapter 3

MIYEONG'S POV

I walked inside the huge meeting room that Sungchan prepared. It was enough to fit 22 or should I say 23 of us now. Adding someone who doesn't know anything about us is risky for everyone. Although I'm willing to take the risk to avenge everyone, I cannot possibly go into this without a plan.

"The rival's son, Miyeong. I've been eyeing him for years." Ten, our spy and assassin said. I chuckled, slightly feeling the compliment that he secretly gave.

Taeyong wasn't happy, he recognized Doyoung the moment that doors opened to us. As for Sungchan, he's new but he isn't dumb. He felt wrong to follow orders that moment considering he wanted a bullet shot through Doyoung's skull.

As much as I wanted that to happen too, I can't. It's not because I grew soft nor I lost my focus from the goal we all wanted to achieve, but because he's a key for us to kill his own father. I know it sounds horrible to be accessible to killing your own family but it's one of the consequences he had to live by.

"I have a plan but we'll discuss it when Doyoung isn't here. I got his gun that had a tracker as well as his phone, we need to dispose of it and get him new clothes. I know all their motives and plans, we just need to strategically do it." I spoke.

Some were already giving me approving looks and when I looked over to my right, I saw Taeyong's soft but sad eyes.

I may not show it to him or anyone else, but I do care about everyone. That includes Taeyong.

Taeyong cleared his throat, "Can you leave us for a second, find Doyoung and Yuta, Jaehyun and Kun will stay with him. The rest please take care and go to your unfinished missions, we can handle it from here,"

He held my hand under the table. I looked at him softly feeling surprised as everyone already had left and he lunged at me for a hug.

I don't know when was the last time I was hugged. Was it the time that I was born? I lost my Mom? or when I hoped that my Father would survive the fire? His embrace was just as dangerous as looking at those brown eyes of him.

Taeyong had strong features, almost looking like a god from Olympus. Everything about him was appealing. From his dirty blonde mullet to his piercing eyes that just stare into your soul until you see his plump lips.

I couldn't find a single flaw in him. That made me despise my feelings for him.

"You can let go now, Taeyong," I said, feeling annoyed.

He made our bodies move even closer to each other and put his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulders. Giving me warmth, happiness, and even, feelings that I wasn't supposed to have.

He separated the two of us after fifteen seconds. He had his calloused and big hands on my shoulder making me look into his eyes to find out what he was thinking.

I couldn't look at those eyes. Those brown eyes gave me nothing but a hope that the owner would feel and would've felt what I wanted him to feel by now. I can't bear to look at how his eyes would soften when he stares at me, I can't bear to look at those same eyes who pushed me away for years.

He held my hands, causing him to move further, "All I want is for you to be safe, Miyeong."

I nodded but still froze in my spot, "We both know we can't be safe in this world we live in."

He sighed quietly. We both moved far away from each other, waiting for Kun, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Doyoung to arrive. I refused to look in his way and fiddled my fingers instead and thought of a proper plan for what Doyoung holds in our revenge.

I remembered how we first met, somehow being a trip down to memory lane. I clenched my fist and spotted that Kun and Yuta were panting in my peripheral vision.

I quickly stood up and ran towards them, "What happened?"

"I'm sorry, Miyeong, he's trying to escape but Jaehyun and the others are trying to chase him off—" Kun said but I quickly ran off without missing a second.

I ran towards the main door and checked the frontage of the house. I was squinting my eyes and when I saw Winwin slowly approaching Doyoung when he tried to lift another leg up to the gate.

I mentally cursed myself for not putting up electric barbed wires. I ran closer to the gate and got out my gun. I shot two inches near his hand that the stone he was reaching on next.

"Kim fucking Doyoung!" I screamed and threw a small dagger near the end of the hem of his shirt.

Luckily, I never miss it. Winwin got my signal to send in more people and as soon as I reached Doyoung who was practically trying to escape the walls of the gates, I grabbed his left foot and he shook my hands of it.

"I swear to fucking god, Doyoung, I would kill the both of us if you don't fucking come down there." I spat.

I wasn't the kind of girl who had the most patient attitude, If I wanted it, I would get it in a flash.

I secretly smiled when I realized that the belt he was wearing is from one of my inventions, I got off his foot and clicked the button on my watch and watched him electrify himself for a bit, and fell into the grass.

I looked at him from below, "You're mine to keep, Kim Doyoung."

"I'm no one's." He said weakly.

I stifled a laugh, "That's where you're wrong. In this world, we're all pawns. You're just lucky that the Queen owns you."
