A/n: Welcome to the second part of our little High School of The Dead side project. You all know the drill. Slight mature themes like really.

Image isn't mine.

Also can you guys tell which one is my waifu based on the images? Just a little question.

As the sound of a heavy swing sounded off in the empty streets of a residential area. Another one of "them" had been dealt with, Saeko flicked her wooden practice sword to the side sending all the blood and brain matter that had gotten on its lacquered exterior to the pavement.

"Good job." (Y/n) complimented. Saeko merely nodded, and continued forward.

It had only been around 30 minutes since (Y/n) and Saeko were separated from the rest of their group. They had to make it to Takagi's house, it was their only known bastion in this new world. It was hard to believe that two days ago, they were still in high school.

Another one of "them" shambled out of a silent alleyway, (Y/n) held out an arm. "Mine." He told Saeko before rushing towards the walking corpse, before tripping it them forcefully introducing his heel to its skull.

The world now made them fight for their lives.

(Y/n) and Saeko continued down the empty streets, they moved quickly but did not run. They had to conserve their energy, (Y/n) peered around a corner and saw a mass of the dead occupying the whole street, there wasn't anyway they were getting through there. (Y/n) muttered a curse under his breath and turned to Saeko.

"No good, we'll have to back the way we came." (Y/n) began. "Maybe loop around, at worst we'll have to take the long way." Saeko nodded, and gripped her practice sword tighter. "I'll follow your lead." She smiled.

As the pair began to retrace their steps, a silence washed over them. Earlier they had been silent to avoid the dead, but now there was something different about this silence. It was...tense?
