After transferring here from Nashville, Tennessee you were more nervous than a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. The FBI is intimidating for anyone but man this was a strange place. They don't do things the same in the city as they do in the country and that was a given. You knew what it was like to be in the city because you obviously had to go to school in the city before joining the FBI but you were in a predicament.
Everyone hears you speak and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet. Like slow down sugar I only live a few states away not stars. People either think your stupid or funny and sometimes you can put up with it but when your grumpy and on your period you're just done with everyone's crap. They often think because of your accent that you're unintelligent but news flash honey you sound strange to us too.
Anyway, after joining the FBI you were having a bad day. You had just come back from dealing with a sexist man who you had to but up with because he was like three pay grades higher than you. You felt very degraded and were starting to feel unnecessary and unwanted when literally a tall, dark, and handsome man walked by and grabbed your attention. Now of course his looks only became apparent after he opened a door for you and smiled at you.
After this you became aware that you had seen him all the time but didn't notice. One day he was opening the door once again for you and you grabbed his arm. He looked at you with surprise.
"I'm sorry it's just you were the first person to be nice to me since I got here. And I was enjoying it so much I forgot my own manners so what is your name?" You asked.
He smiled, "My names Aaron. Sorry I've been meaning to say something to you but I was kinda worried you wouldn't like me. You know with you being a country girl and me being a city boy."
Your jaw nearly hit the floor. "Really? I was afraid you would think I was stupid or weird because I'm a country girl!"
He looked at you quizzically,"Why on earth would I think you were stupid or weird because you're country? You obviously have skills and intelligence if you made into the FBI."
She smiled, "Thank you, Aaron." Just then someone called for him from across the room. He looked over and looked back at you regretfully. Wow he really did wanna talk to you.
"Hey do you wanna go out for coffee sometime?" He asked.
You smiled and nodded."Yeah sure." You handed him your card with your number on it. "Call me," you smiled.
He smiled and went off to whoever called him but not without opening the door for you first.
