The Mission

POV: Momo

It was my first day of captaining a new crew, my old crew was arrested for selling seaweed, a known drug that the king was allergic to so it was banned from the kingdom.
I was nervous at first but then when I saw them I fell in love. The QuarterMaster was a guy with blueish hair, his name was Tenya, he was a little bossy but the job suit him. The First Mate was a guy with unusual hair and a large burn scar on his face, his name was Shouto. The Second Mate was a normal looking girl with blushie cheeks and a round face, her name was Ochako. The Third Mate was a kid with unusual green hair and freckles, his name was Izuku. The Cabin Boy was a little kid named Koda, this is unusual because there was a second Cabin Boy but this time a girl named Eri. Lastly, The cook was a short green haired girl named Tsuyu, or Tsu. They all worked together to clean the deck instead of hiring Swabs.

I was sitting on the side of the ship taking in the breeze and feeling good because I loved my new crew when I saw a knight walk over with a scroll in his hand. Koda and Eri ran over to the entrance of the ship in excitement, the guard saw them and knelt down to adore them. He took off his helmet and handed it to Eri, then he walked towards me. He had bright blonde hair and amazing golden eyes, he was smiling like an idiot though.

"Hello, are you Captain Yaoyorozu?" He asked.

"Yes, why?" I responded.

"I have a message from King Bakugou, saying he has a mission for you and your crew"

"Alright, what is this mission?"

"He wants to meet you in a few hours" The man said. "Tell him who you are and Sir Kaminari sent you"

"Will do, thank you" I responded

"Good day!" He exclaimed, walking away

I waved goodbye as he walked out of the ship and headed towards the castle. I turned around and saw Tsu walking towards me.

"What was that all about? Ribbit" She asked

Tsu was a frog like creature, she croaked and had a really long tongue. There are a bunch of creatures around like fairies, sirens, and human animal hybrids like tsu that aren't allowed into the kingdom, but her family got access into the kingdom because of their friendship with the king's mother.

"King Bakugou invited us over to talk about a mission he has for us" I answered.

"Ah, okay, I'll tell the others Kero" She smiled and walked away.

Awhile Later

Tsu, Tenya, and Ochako decided to stay behind with Koda and Eri, while Shouto, Izuku, and I go to King Bakugou's Castle.

When we got to the castle, we were greeted by the head knight, Sir Kaminari, and another knight, Sir Sero they took us to King Bakugou. We arrived in a well lit, beautiful dining hall with a big throne and a wooden table made with a beautiful dark oak. There, in the big throne sat King Bakugou, with that angry expression that everyone has seen in photographs.

"Take a seat please" He said, his deep growly voice echoing through the broad dining room.

We walked closer to him and sat down in comfortable, velvety chairs.

"Let's get to business" he said, a little softer now. "Mermaids have been killing humans all over the kingdom and some of my guards have tracked down the area where these 'sirens' are located"

"What do you want us to do about them?" Shouto asked calmly.

"I want you to kill their queen when she is weakest, one member of your crew will go into the ocean, into their territory and kill their queen to tell them we aren't messing around" the king said harshly.

"B-but how will we stay in the ocean? N-none of us can hold our breath for t-that long" Izuku asked nervously.

"I'm sure the potion makers have something that will work" King Bakugou said.

"Sounds iffy.." I hesitated to say.

"I'll pay you to do this, we don't know much so I say I pay you after based on how hard the task is" he compromised.

"Sounds like a deal" Shouto's eyebrows raised.

"I agree" I said.

"A deal it is then, I want you to check out the potion maker's shop and I'll have Sir Kaminari with you so he can tell me when you're leaving, preferably by sunrise."

"Alright, thank you, my king" I said.

We all bowed and walked off, I was excited to tell everyone about the mission. We were walking back towards the ship when we forgot to stop by the potion maker! I realized.

"Guys!" I exclaimed.

"Yes captain?" They said at the same time.

"We need to go check out the Potion Maker's shop"

"Alright, Izuku and I will go back and tell everyone about the mission and you check out the shop" Shouto said.

"Okay! Cya!" I waved and walked off.

At the Potion Maker's shop

I walked in and it was like I was a whole different world, like the door was a portal. There were vines everywhere and it had a different smell than outside, it was like a mix of a fresh smell, but also an evil smell. It was hard to explain. A shady figure walked up to me.

"Welcome, what are you looking for?" It was a woman's voice, she sounded sweet and her voice range was in the middle.

"Do you have anything that can make someone breath underwater for a long period of time? Or turn someone into a mermaid every time they touch the ocean?" I asked.

"I have the breathing under water" she replied. "It'd be 200 gold chips"

"Alright, how long does it last?" I asked.

"About a week"

"Alright I'll take two" I said as I handed her the money.

She handed me bottles of a glowing aqua liquid. I sat and admired the color for a few seconds, then left the shop.
