"But how? That's impossible." Charles cannot believe his eyes. A scared look appears on Winter's face. "Do you feel afraid of me or threatened? If so I can leave." Winter began to walk away but Charles pulls her back to him. "Why would I be afraid of you? Yes. Your different. But I think different is beautiful. Its just means that you're unique. One of a kind." Winter smiles brightly at him. He can not help but smile right back at her. "I will not pressure you for an explanation. I trust that you will tell me when you're ready." They both pick up the broken glass and gets ready to go purchase gowns as promised. "The sleeping gown that you are wearing belongs to my sister. She visits from time to time so some of her clothes are left behind. I have another dress for you to wear. Oh I wasn't going to mention this but your hair is the color of snow." " Yes it is, you have a hat. I can put one on if it bothers you." "No, not at all." As Winter finishes getting dressed Charles pulls the carriage around. They head to town to see a dressmaker. The sunlight hitting the streets makes it seems as if they are sparkling like diamonds. Women and daughters beautiful dresses adds a splash of color to the already amazing scenery. Children playing fill the air with laughter. Jesters are performing while gypsies are dancing. Winter is in awe. She stops to watch the jesters. One of them has puppets covering his hands. They are displayed in a decorated cut out box. He starts moving his hands and the puppets starts dancing. Winter is amused and starts clapping to the music being played by another jester. The puppet jester suddenly comes from around the box. He bends his hands so that the puppet can bow. Quickly he then grabs her hand and they began dancing. Her small dress twirls as she is spun around. A loud laugh comes from her mouth. A crowd of people join in the fun. Charles cannot help but smile for the joy on her face moved him. He then grabs her hands and starts dancing with her. Just for a moment he felt as if timed stop. As they spin he stares at her and thinks to himself. "Please don't let this moment fade away. As how I'm feeling now, I hope she feels the same." After dancing they both run off to a dress maker shop. Winter began grabbing all sorts of dresses. "They're so beautiful." She began snatching all of them at once. So many that her arms give way. All the dresses goes everywhere. "Oops. I kind of got carried away." Charles burst into laughter. "Grab as many as you want" he proclaim. On seeing how excited Winter was about the dresses, the dress maker went to the back and pulled a beautiful gown.
"You have a beautiful name. Your skin so fair and hair white as snow. I think this dress will bring out your complexion quite nicely. She shows her a light blue gown. On the back, a sheer cape is attached to the shoulders of the dress. While the front upper part displays a beautiful white lace floral design, embedded with small crystals and pearls. It is fitted at the top but flares out from the waist on down. The skirt of the dress also contains the similar white floral lace design on the bottom trimmings of the dress as so the skirt itself. "This dress would be a waste if put on me. I couldn't possibly..." winter replied. Charles asked the dressmaker if Winter could try it on. She is taken to the back to get fitted. She is finally dressed and shows herself to Charles. Twirling around for him to take a full look at the dress. "You look beautiful." Winter is embarrassed and goes to change. "No wait! Let me take you to dinner. I mean can I please take you to dinner my lady?" "Yes. Yes you may." Charles takes her by the hand and leads her out the dressmaker shop. He takes her into an extravagant restaurant. They sit and eat. "This food is amazing Charles." After she has completely devoured her food she began eating from Charles plate. He finds her pretty amusing. Her mouth is decorated with food pieces. He moves his hand toward her face and began wiping her mouth. His thumb sweeps against her lips. She began to blush. His hands then moves to her cheeks. "How can I have found something so beautiful and rare as you?" He is completely mesmorized by her. They finish their dinner and takes the carriage back home. They arrive back in the middle of the night. Charles goes in first and Winter after. As she enters, she loses her footing and falls into his arms. Staring into each other eyes he slowly leans forward and kisses her. Her face is blush red. He then picks her up and carries her into the bedroom. The night is fleeting. Morning comes and the sunlight passes through the window. Charles wakes up. Winter is still fast asleep facing forward towards him in his arms. He reaches over and began running his fingers through her hair in a downwards motion. Winter wakes up. "Good morning sleepy head." He leans forward and kisses her on the forehand. "Charles. I'm ready. I'm ready to tell you everything about how I ended up here. I'm not scared anymore." She tells him all about the evil that was done to her and her people. "Winter." He says in a calm voice. "Marry me." She is startled by his proposal. "Me?" He nods his head to her response. "I am of no royalty but I'm very well off. I can provide for your every need and more. Winter, I love you so much. You don't have to be sad anymore. Just stay here with me." He takes her hand and ask again. "Winter. Marry me?" With a smile she answered , "Yes."
Oh how sweet. It just gives me the feels. True love is so touchy but you love this stuff right. It is cutesy but pardon me if I don't want to go in detail about the whole wedding. I mean the wedding was marvelous. But eh. The cake could've been much better. I'm more of a chocolate person but anyhow. You get the gist of good love. Boy and girl meets and fall in love. Blah blah bla. Have babies. Oh the babies! I'm forgetting our main character. Yes, a handsome boy and a beautiful girl. The boy's name was Charlie. How predictable right. The girl's name was Starligh. Now this little beauty is going to give us the topping on the cake. She was how I would say wild. Fierce and brave, the child had a nick for wanting to explore the world. Complete opposite of her mother, she would find herself getting into plenty of trouble. Our complete adorable Charlie just likes to tag along and see what good punishment awaited for her around the corner. One day the two were running around the house. Scared they would break something, Winter told them to go play outside but keep close to home. Running off they decided to race each other to where the flat grassland meets the forest. As they reach the end they approach a tall forest tree. "I bet I can climb it all the way to the top." Starligh proclaimed. Charlie stated that she shouldn't and warned her she could get hurt. "Stop being a bother Charlie. I want get hurt. I'll be very careful." she said while placing her foot on the tree. She began to climb the tree to the very top. Finally reaching it she yells, "I told you I could do it!" Charlie yelled back, "Okay good! Now get down." She climbs down but her tiny hands lose grip. Her body immediately falls to the ground. She is knocked unconscious. Charlie runs to the house to get help. "Mommy! Daddy! Starligh is hurt. I told her not to climb the tree." He leads his parents to where Starligh is. Charles picks her up and takes her to the house. A wet warm towel is put on her forehead. Charlie began to cry. "Its okay sweetie." Winter picks him up and start singing a lullaby to him. Charles gets a another warm towel but as he reaches over Starligh head, her eyes are open. "Starligh! Thank goodness but how. That fall was so high." Winter eyes goes big. "She has inherited my people's gift. But this can't be. It is a miracle."
Time has passed from that incident. More like ten years to be exact. This year is a very festive one. A festival is being held for the crowned prince, Prince Hwang. The streets are more cheerful and loud than ever. All the same except for Charlie has grown to be a very strikingly young handsome man. He has gotten so many looks from the kingdom's women but hasn't really sought out for any. He is more of a heartbreaker. The worst part about that, he knows it. Starligh has also grown into a beautiful lady. With her mother's white hair and fair skin, men adorn her from left and right. She is at the age where it is necessary for the women to be married off. Starligh has other plans not aligned with this one. Her gifted abilities also makes it seems as if she is walking on thin ice. "Charlie hurry up the parade is going to begin. We're going to be late." They both scurry out to join the festive parade going on in the middle of town. Taking the carriage, they are off. "Starligh! Wait. The proposal letters." Winter tries to catch up but misses the opportunity. "Sweet heart, let her enjoy her time at the festival. These things can wait." He teases. "But you of all people should know the seriousness of the matter my love." Winter can't help but feel worried. "Okay. Then when they both get home, we will discuss the matter. For now lets enjoy this time together. I haven't gotten a lot of alone time with you. If you know what I mean." "Really Charles." He puts on a song and takes her by the hand. They get lost in the moment, unaware that their children's lives are about to take a sharp turn.
