The voice replied again before a calming tune played in through the call.

He propped the phone on the bed, the light dimming out as the screen slowly faded into black.

He waited.

And waited.

And cut his wrist again in the wait.

Tears cascaded down his cheeks, so did the blood that oozed out from his wrist.

He waited and waited again, until the phone lit up again ㅡ the light seemingly brighter than usual.
