New Year

You called your mom as soon as you stepped inside your house. She always worried about you, and you knew better than to make her wait and worry for any longer than she needed to.

After you got off the phone with her, you went right to unpacking. You luckily didn't have any laundry to do, other than your pajamas and what you had on right now. Your mom made sure your clothes were cleaned, which was a nice gesture that you would never complain about.

It was late when you got home, but Daisy and Rachel had insisted on coming over and spending the night. You had told them earlier in the week that you had a work party planned for New Years Eve, which was of course a lie.

You felt bad about it, but you weren't really in the mood to hear them go on about how you were going to get laid by Kylo Ren. And you especially didn't want them knowing how you agreed to be with him and only him, despite his reminders about how he was not a relationship kind of guy.

You figured you wouldn't argue with them about celebrating the new year a little early, so you were prepared for a long night of snacks, champagne, and lots of talking.

Gossip, boy talk, and whatever else the three of you could come up with was pretty much the only stuff that came up in conversations.

At about nine, they both got to your place.

The night went exactly how you expected it to go, with the exception of one conversation that came up later in the night.

"So, you and Kylo... anything change since the night when we all slept over?" Daisy struck up the conversation, and you immediately shot her an annoyed look.

"You really haven't talked about him at all actually." Rachel also seemed to want to talk about this. You chose to try and ignore it, hoping that they'd understand just how much you didn't want to discuss it.

"C'mon, you must talk to him about more than just work." Rachel sounded eager to get something out of you. The two of them went on for the next couple of minutes before you decided to just tell them.

"Alright fine. Yes, we're sorta friends now I guess... or whatever you want to call it... it's not a big deal."

"Friends? Or more than friends?" Daisy smirked.

"A little bit more I guess... he doesn't want to be in a real relationship so it's kinda just casual... like friends with benefits..." you sighed at their perky attitudes. "And no, we haven't slept together or done anything other than kiss... but we have plans... to you know... fuck or whatever..."

They were shocked. They had also both acted like teenage girls in that moment, but you told them you didn't want to talk about it anymore tonight. You were exhausted from the drive, and in all honesty, you just wanted sleep.

You didn't wake up until close to one in the afternoon. Sleep was something you definitely needed after your trip. Daisy and Rachel greeted you in your living room, with a pot of coffee that was just brewed. Perfect timing.

They left not too long after, since you had already told them before that you need to go grocery shopping before getting ready to go out.

You decided to text Kylo to see when he wanted you to come over.

                                                  Hey. I'm back in town.

                                                 When did you want me

to come by at? I was

                                                thinking around 10?
