Ch 8

Penguin's Pov

"How long is this going to take Penguin? You know how the boss gets when he has to wait" It was a complex lock I was working on why couldn't they just shut up and let me work? All this trouble for one girl but at least the boss will be happy once she's returned to him. "I'm on the final security measure get ready to toss the cube when I give the signal"

"And that should do it... Simon says cover your eyes!" As the cube was thrown into the room, I covered my eyes as a blinding light filled the space. It only lasted a few seconds but as it faded two men could be seen stumbling around the room. Well, it would have been three but one was wearing a mask that protected him. Then there was (Y/n) who had her hands firmly covering her eyes.  

Law was right about the girl loving 'Simon Says' it definitely worked to my advantage. "You're not taking (Y/n) she belongs to Kidd" Why the hell did this girl have to be so much trouble? "She's Trafalgar Law's girlfriend and I'm going to take her whether you like it or not. Men take care of those three!" With the three men distracted I started to walk up to (Y/n) before I picked her up from the ground. "Can I uncover my eyes now?"

"Not yet (Y/n)" She was gullible that much was certain but if the boss wanted her then I couldn't argue with him. "That voice... I know you... Right?" Hm, I need to get out of here while those three are busy. My cars just down the street then Law would follow soon after. "I'm a friend of Kidd's. He told me to take you somewhere safe"

"Oh, okay let's go" That was easier than I thought it was going to be. "Just keep your eyes closed for a little while longer. It won't take long to get there I promise"

Kidd's Pov

"You know something Eustass-ya?... I hate when people take away what belongs to me!" Before I could react, I knife had already cut across my chest. "Fuck! Son of a bitch, I'm going to kill you!" The wound wasn't very deep but blood had already started to soak into the fabric of my shirt as I stepped away from the man.

My eyes locked on the knife he was tossing up in the air. It was like he was toying with me, I needed to keep my distance from him so he couldn't cut my throat next. "Just give me (Y/n)-ya back and I'll be on my way" This man was delusional if he thought I just give up my little demon. "Oi Trafalgar! You know something? (Y/n)'s lips are quite soft, they felt great against mine"

That got his attention but as he threw the knife I jumped out of the way before it could hit me. "No one is allowed to kiss (Y/n)-ya but me!"

Penguin's Pov

"Alright (Y/n) we're almost there you can open your eyes now" I was tired of carrying the girl and since we were a few minutes away from the manor I decided she could walk the rest of that way. "Come on my car is just down the street" Law warned me about leaving the girl unattended so I took her hand before continuing down the street. "Is Kidd still fighting with Law?"

"Yes, I believe so. He'll join us later though" Lying to the girl didn't sit well with me but I needed to follow Law's orders. If (Y/n) returned his feelings it would be different but she didn't and Law couldn't accept that. "I'm sorry (Y/n)" As her eyes drifted up to mine, I quickly looked away. "Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything to me"

She was Law's and I had to take her to the new safe house. "Forget about it (Y/n). There's my car let's go" I opened the back door for her to get in back though when she started to back away, I knew something was wrong. "What's wrong (Y/n), don't you want to see Kidd?" My hand was still holding hers but with one quick movement she ripped it free and took off running. "Shit... (Y/n) where are you going!? Come back!"
