It was starting to get dark, since we weren’t near a city, the sky was littered with stars. Continuing down the road that seemed to be an endless walk. Sure, it would’ve been easier to take the car, but it’s also easier to be traced by “Mother”, and after I yelled at her, she’d either want me dead or try to take Evan away. Key word “try”. She isn’t laying a finger on Evan; I’d kill anyone before that happens. I looked to Evan. Despite the cold, there was barely any smoke coming from his breath. His eyes luminated in the dark. Our hands were still connected. He’s… really pretty.

*Sigh* No one buys groceries anymore? I say while picking up a bag of potatoes and putting it in the cart. Amy and Johnathan’s mother is with me, since Samuel, Eddie, and Uncle are planning for the next stop, she doesn’t want her children to go, and she wants to keep and eye one me. It seems to be getting pretty late, but no one bought anything for dinner. “How are you feeling?” The mother asked me for the fifth time. I took a note pad out of my pocket once again. [Yes, I’m fine, I understand you’re worried, but we have to make this quick or everyone at home will get anxious] With a sigh she nodded, and we proceed to buying ingredients for dinner. Once we finished in the soon to be closing shop, we were on our way home. The fog was thickening making it harder to see… but not to hear, someone was following us from a distance. Their breathing was still, and their footsteps was paced. I moved more to the edge of the sidewalk, keeping up the same pace they followed. They could tell where we were through fog.

If they could see us, it wouldn’t be safe to give her a note right now. I can’t quicken the pace, or they’ll surely notice, yet alone go home… I have an idea. It took a second to spot a small gift shop. It was close to closing but not yet. I pointed to the store. “We need to get home soon Don; we can get something tomorrow.” She said. Perfect chance. I wrote in my notepad and handed it to her. [Don’t be alarmed someone is following us, we can’t go home but try to act natural] She seemed frightened but kept a straight face. “You know what? Maybe we should head the footsteps started to quicken. It’s dark now, no one was out and only the streetlights was luminating the area. The person began to laugh while running in our direction. I pushed the mother out of the way then I was tackled to the ground. The groceries was scattered, I kept this guy and his knife at a distance… He, he looked like Abby? Down to curly hair and slightly pointed ears. “Aww aren’t you cute?” He said while lunging the knife in my direction.
