Through the Abyss Chapter 5

Snow slowly turned around and wanted to locate the source of the laughter she had heard. She could hardly believe what she saw. It was a black cat  just about the height of her knee sitting in the sand looking up at her with big yellow eyes.

"It takes a lot to kill all of these soldiers," the cat spoke in a soft feminine voice, "just who or what are you?"

"My name is Snow," snow said staring back at the cat her hand slowly moving toward the hilt of her sword, "and your men attacked me for no reason."

"I wouldn't say they attacked for no reason," the cat said gently purring, "you are a threat to my masters plan."

"what plan?" Snow said surprised at the statement.

"I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you." the cat said smiling at the thought, " Very well then I'll have to kill you either way. My master plans to rule this world, then he'll invade other worlds and dominate them as well."

"I can't let you do that." Snow said drawing her sword

"Why not?" the cat said "what are you defending?"

"My friends and I are from another world. Well i think so we fell through a hole and ended up here." Snow said pulling her sword back for a lunge.

"I wouldn't do that." the cat said swaying it's tail. Snow ignored it and lunged right for it. The cat quickly dodged and in the blink of an eye morphed into a human. her black fur now blonde hair and her yellow eyes turned blue.

"My name is iisa." the woman said. "You should think twice before attacking me again." She drew a long thin sword and quickly swiped through the air.

"Ha! what was tha-" snow began to say but she felt a liquid running down her cheek. she wiped it away and discovered it was her own blood. iisa smiled and laughed.

"Silly child did you think i would just swing for no reason. Now is where the true fun begins." iisa began swiping her sword over and over and time after time a new cut appeared on Snow. Snow drew her sword and extended it into a lance. Long range was the best option here.  Snow was begining to tremble. She couldn't see where the tip of iisa's sword was and she was losing blood fast even though she was clotting the blood from her wounds.

All of the sudden Snow formed an idea. She focued on freezing the air around iisa's sword. slowly but surely iisa's sword began to freeze from the hilt to the tip. Snow then cut off the blade from the middle of the sword. iisa dropped her weapon.

"you think just because you destroyed my weapon you have beaten me." iisa said a look of ury in her eyes. "well think again brat!" iisa's hands began to shift into claws and she ran up close to Snow and slashed her in the chest. Snow fell to her knees and held her chest gasping. 

" I could kill you if i wanted but you're not worth my effort." iisa turned around and started walking away. Just then a chill was sent up her spine. iisa turned around and was amazed at what she saw. Snow was cloaked in some sort of ice armor and was now standing.

"you made a big mistake about me." Snow said looking at iisa in a cold glare. All of the sudden ice crystals swirled around iisa and started freezing her from her feet up. Iisa tried slashing at the ice with her claws but it was to no avail. Soon enough she was trapped in a cage of ice. The armor around Snow had faded and Snow was so weak that she couldn't stay conscious.  Snow fell to the ground. After a few minutes a figure walked toward iisa. 

"t-t-took you long enough to get here." iisa said shivering "Now get me out so i can kill her!"

"no." a voice said "don't kill her yet i want to see you fight her when you're both  at your full potential." i smile crossed the figures face and he smashed the ice cage and walked off into the desert with iisa leaving snow behind in the middle of the desert.
