-Chapter 2- Meetup

After putting on some (whatever da fUck u wanna where, it just has to have a hoodie, and gloves that go yo ur elbow) I fed my dog and told him goodbye, and got in car to head for Sunrise Paradise.
(15 min time skip)
Pulling up in the parking lot, I scope the area for my friend. She was standing right infront of the door, reading something.
I got out of my car, and did my best to sneak up on her. Sadly, I f-ing suck at that, and she spotted me almost immediately.
"Oh, heya, (Y/N)!" She said with joy. "Took ya long enough."
I tried my best to look offended, but failed.
She waved for me to come over to sit on a bench, and fiddled with their phones pop-socket after i sat down.

"So did ya hear the big news? I'm just gonna assume you did, it's been everywhere."
I just looked at them, ✨confuzzeled af✨.
Ellie stared right back at me, with  a face that said how do you not know this?
I looked away, semi-embarrassed.
She sighed, and started to explain. Telling me all about how monsters where recently freed from the underground.
When she finished explaining, I just looked at Ellie, not sure to believe her or laugh, and say 'good joke'. It was really hard to believe, but at the same time I really hoped it was real. I mean, monsters? Like, REAL monsters? And they didn't even sound that bad!
So I said probably the in the most chill voice ever, "OMGSERIEOUSLYAREYOUJOKINGTHISISTOGOODTOBETRUE!!!" I yelled, my words blurring together.
"Wow, wow, calm down there, (Y/N)!" She said, trying to calm me down, her efforts in vain.
I tried to hide how excited I was, but it was extremely hard.
"Ok, but like, can we go see them? PlEaSE?" I asked hopefully, my voice cracking a bit at the end.
To my surprise, she said "Yea- actually I think they're still in the same spot they where in when they got here. C'mon, lets get inside this hotel first."
Ellie grabbed my arm, and we headed into the hotel.
