Chapter 3 | Meeting Monsters

The cool air of the hotel was refreshing after being out there, I didn't even realize how hot it was out there. Ellie dragged me and her to the reception desk, (is that what it was?) And started talking. I wasn't paying attention, because I was busy doing something on my phone so it looked like I was busy and didn't have to talk.
Thankfully, the conversation didn't last long.
The reception lady gave Ellie her room key, and dragged me up to her room.
(Tem skip to you taking ur hoodie oof, Ellie trying to put her stuff up while you bug the shit out of her)
"Ok so, like, can you just put your stuff up later? I realllyyy wanna go see the monsters!" You whined. "(Y/N), no, your acting like a child. You can wait while I put up my stuff, silly head." She scolded, and chuckled a bit at the end.
"Fineee. I guess i can wait... I'm gonna go take a walk for a bit." You sighed, and grabbed your hoodie before heading out. You could clearly hear her saying "I'll buzz ya when I'm almost done!"
You quickly walked through the halls and down the stairs with your head down.
"I probably made her annoyed at me, like i always do." You thought as you entered the first floor of the hotel.
You headed over to door, but froze when something colorful caught your eyes.

Of course, you ran over to them, and since nobody was around to judge you, stuffed a handfull in your pocket before beelining it to the door.  I hope nobody questions my lumps pockets-
You didn't really know where you wanted to go, but knew you wanted to get something for you and your friend. It had to be something like tea for Ellie, and you where gonna get yourself a soda or something like that.
You saw that a convenience store and coffee shop where just around the corner, only a couple shops apart.
Well isn't that... Convenient wasn't it? You chuckled a bit a the pun, and walked over to the coffee shop.
Apon entering the shop, you heard a little ding above your head. The place was nice, and seemed like a decent place to sit down and chill. After marveling at the interior, you walked up to the place you order things n stuff, but then you realized
You suddenly forgot how to socialize
Now this knowledge wasn't new, you often forget how to interact with fellow humans you don't know at all. But this was a surprise, you knew the regular barista since they had been working here so long. But this time there was a different person, and this was bad how? You didn't know them, thats how! You took a deep breath, and prepared to make a fool of yourself.
