Alex’s POV

I was frozen in shock. There was a man tied to a chair with blood dripping from his arms and forehead and a cloth tied around his mouth. Elijah just stared at me. His eyes were wide and he had a large smile plastered on his face. His clothes were slightly stained red. He also had a small knife in his hand.

“A-alex! Hehe, what a-are you doing h-here?” Elijah asked, turning to face me. The man slowly looked up at me with fear in his eyes. I heard a muffled yell. Elijah’s smile disappeared and he snapped around towards the man.

“Shut up!” Elijah yelled and kicked the man.

“What did y-” I stuttered. Elijah turned back to me, the eerie smile returning.

“Look Alex. We c-cant do this the easy w-way or the hard way,” Elijah said, stepping a bit closer to me. I nodded and stepped back.

“You can go inside and act like you n-never saw anything. Or! I’ll tie you up too, got it?” I nodded again and turned to go back inside.
“You tell anyone and you're dead.” I heard a giggle from behind me and a shiver went down my spine.

Once I got inside, I immediately grabbed my phone and texted Denis. He replied with ‘we’re coming home now’. I deleted the text as well as my text to make sure Elijah didn’t know I told them.

--------------------------

“Alex!” I heard the front door slam shut and footsteps running in.

“I-I’m in the kitchen!” I called back. Denis and Sub both ran into the kitchen as fast as possible. Both of them looked terrified.

“Where’s Elijah?” Sub asked.

“The shed,” I replied. Sub went over to the door to go outside, but I pushed him away. “Don’t go in there!” I yelled, my voice a little shaky. I saw Denis pull out his phone and dial a number. I ran over to him and grabbed it from him.

“Dude what the heck!” Denis said, trying to grab his phone back.

“Who were you trying to call?” I asked.

“A mental hospital! Elijah clearly isn’t ok!”

“We’re NOT sending him to a mental hospital!”

“Why not?! He needs help!” I stood there silent. I didn’t know what to do. I only got here about 2 days ago and everything has fallen apart. I relaxed a little and handed Denis back his phone. He sighed and took the phone from me.

“Ugh. Fine. We’ll try to help him first, but I’m keeping the mental hospital on speed dial!” Denis mumbled. I smiled a little and went over to the door. We all walked over to the shed. I grabbed the handle and slowly opened it. I was terrified knowing Elijah was probably going to do something to me since I told Denis and Sub about what happened. Once the door was fully opened, I heard Sub and Denis gasp. It was worse than before. Elijah was now almost covered in blood and still smiling. The man had several cuts and wounds all over his body. Elijah stared me dead in the eyes and started walking towards me. I started backing up until I was at the edge of the pool.

“Alex. What did I say before?” Elijah asked.

“Uhm-”

“WHAT did I say about telling someone about this?!” Elijah snapped and held out the knife. I glanced at Denis and Sub, they were just as shocked as I was. I didn’t think Elijah would ever hurt one of us. Elijah noticed that I was looking at them and turned around.

“Hahaha! What great friend you two are? You’re not even trying to stop me!” Elijah laughed. He turned back to me and gripped the knife. Before Elijah could do anything, Sub lunged at him and pushed him into the pool. I dogged Elijah’s attempt to pull me in too. The pool started turning red. Denis took out his phone to call what I assume is the mental hospital. Sub turned to go see the man that Elijah had been torturing. I stared at the now completely red pool. Elijah hadn’t come back up yet. I felt fear build up inside me. What if he hit his head or something when Sub pushed him? We didn’t want to kill him. I leaned over the edge slightly. I heard Sub yell something, but couldn't hear him. It was probably along the lines of ‘watch out!’ because...

Elijah grabbed my hand and pulled me under with him.
