Chapter 2

Y/n Pov

I was talking to Severus and Lily when the train stopped. You see, my brother left to talk to those boys about 20 minutes after everything, so they could leave Severus alone. I smiled, and we all got up and left the train. We were getting off the train when I saw my brother smiling, laughing, and talking with the boys before I smiled, if my brother was friends with them I guess maybe just a little could be nice.

I said, "Hey guys I will catch up with you later I'm gonna find my brother."

Lily nodded and let me go.

I walked over and my brother said, "Oh Y/n, this is James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black my new friends. And they said they will lay off Severus. Guys, this is my twin sister Y/n."

I smiled and said, "His older twin sister by the way. Also, you three better or I will hex you!"

I walked away smiling, and I went looking for Severus and Lily. Eventually, I found them and I smiled. Severus asked me "Did you find your brother?"

I nodded and said, "Yes, I did. He is friends with those boys. Their names are James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew, but according to Remus, they said they would lay off Severus. I hope they do."

Lily and Severus laughed and nodded their heads. We saw a huge man and he said, "First years this way first years!"

I grabbed Lily and Severus' hands and ran over there. The huge man leads us to boats and told us to get on. I got on the same boat with Lily and Severus.

We reached a big castle and got off. We got led inside a small room. A stern-looking woman stood before us and said, "I'm Professor McGonagall. I will be leading you inside the Great Hall now. Stand in a single file line, please."

I stood behind Lily and Severus. She led us through the two big doors. When we entered, we could see candles floating and the night sky. There were four long tables full of students and food.

Professor McGonagall stopped in front of a stool. She said, "When I call your name, take a seat on the stool to get sorted. Evans, Lily!"

Lily walked forward and sat down on the stool. Professor McGonagall put a ragged old hat on Lily's head.

"Gryffindor!" the hat shouted. People clapped and cheered.

Lily sat down at the Gryffindor table.

Severus looked sad that Lily got sorted into Gryffindor. Professor McGonagall said, "Lupin, Y/n!"

It was my turn to get sorted. I took a seat on the stool. Professor McGonagall put the hat on me.

"Gryffindor!" the hat shouted. I went to the Gryffindor table and sat down next to Lily.

After the sorting

I was sad that Severus wasn't in Gryffindor. Lily, James, Sirius, Peter, and my brother were all sorted into Gryffindor.

I ate (food of choice) and drank (drink of choice). I noticed Peter wasn't talking to anyone and looked lonely.

"Hey, Peter," I said.

He looked at me and smiled. "Hi, Y/n. How was your summer?"

"It was good. What about you?"

"It wasn't bad. A bit lonely since I don't have many friends."

"Did you make any friends on the Hogwarts Express?"

"I met James, Sirius, and your brother."

I was going to say something else, but Professor Dumbledore said, "Prefects, escort first years to their common rooms."
