Demons are violent creatures.
They eat humans to gain power and kill for their own pleasure. Men, women, kids, the elderly. Everyone gets eaten. Doesn't matter how many they kill, how many they eat, their thirst won't go away. They'll kill anyone.
So why didn't she kill her?
A demon that took a protective stance for her sister. Someone that should of been killed by her sister's own hands. Yet, she was protecting her instead of satisfying her hunger.
A low growl was let out as Nezuko's eyes never left Giyuu's figure.
Nezuko would never eat anyone!
Her words rang into his head as he avoided Nezuko's attacks. She isn't the first one to say that and get eaten anyway. Still dodging her attacks, his thoughts went back to the ones he had encountered before. This girl is wounded and she's expending energy to heal those injuries. Being swift on his feet, Giyuu was able to avoid the attacks that Nezuko is giving.
That means she's severely starved at this moment, without a doubt. Despite pushing her back, Nezuko continued to violently attack him. She must've wanted to feast on a human right away, even if it's her own sister. The flashback made its way into his head as he came to a decision. Yet she protected her instead and even intimidated me.
Sheathing his sword, he came to a conclusion. These two sisters might be different. Hitting Nezuko on her pressure point, she instantly fell to the ground. Sighing, he began to look around for materials to use. Yet, before he could do so, he felt another presence nearby. A clawed hand was what he saw as he moved to the side. What the hell?!
Getting a clearer view, he saw that it was a younger boy. Cursing again, Giyuu realized that it was a demon. Another one?! Repeating the same action, Tanjiro kicked Giyuu before racing back towards Nezuko. What the hell?! Is it a cannibal?! Instead of eating her, Tanjiro sweep her up and laid her next to Natsu. His eyes soften before sharping them and turning to the enemy. Crouching down on a defensive position, Tanjiro let out small growls before charging forward.
Getting annoyed that he failed to sense him, Giyuu once more dodge any attacks thrown at his way. Is he related to them? He didn't attack them. Unlike Nezuko, his attacks were more swift and fast. A small rip at the side of his uniform made Giyuu realize that he was stronger than her.
Quickly coming up with a plan, he went to where the two sisters where laying and unsheathed his sword. Stopping in his tracks, Tanjiro let out small growls as he saw Giyuu next to his sisters with his sword pointing at them. Taking on once more a defensive position, his eyes, that now had slits, narrowed on Giyuu's figure. "Don't move."
Great, I'm talking to a demon. His thoughts pondered, yet surprisingly he notice that it obeyed. Thus concluding that he indeed was related to them. Tanjiro remained still as he didn't know whether or not to race forward. Giyuu, however, made the first move. Raising his sword, he brought it down towards Nezuko's unconscious body. As he expected, the demon jumped in to try to save her. However, Giyuu struck his elbow into his stomach midair. The sudden lack of air made him fall next to Giyuu. Losing focus, Tanjiro stood still on the cold snow, giving the demon slayer the upper hand. Using the butt of the sword, Giyuu quickly slammed it into the side of Tanjiro head, successfully knocking him out.
Damn these siblings.

"I'm sorry Natsu. Please take care of your older siblings for me, all right?"
Waking up, the first thing that she notice was the cloth was covering a figure. With a shaking hand, she clutched it as her vision begin to clear up. Tears fell done as she saw her sister, who now had a bamboo in her mouth, sleeping peacefully. Spotting red hair from behind Nezuko, she lifted her head slightly to see Tanjiro in the same condition.
