ROYAL GARDEN II (Alternate Ending)

Regretful Choice

"Regret...?" I said

"Ever since I met you all I ever did was cause you harm or even leaded you towards danger. You would always come out hurt, barely alive and you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you being a goddess which your no longer one....all thanks to me." Lia said as she gripped both of her hands

"Lia..."

"Even today now that we know taehyung is around here I'm worried about you and for what soyeon said. That we don't know what he's doing and that there could be people who can use magic." Lia continued as she slowly became teary eyed

"Lia!"

I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I snapped and yelled at her. I couldn't just let her bring herself down like that, just because I gave her my powers to bring her back doesn't mean I regret doing it.

"...please stop doing this to yourself Lia..." As I wrapped my hands around her and formed a tight hug. "I dont regret bringing you back, and if I did regret it I wouldn't be doing this right now."

"But why? Giving everything to me and leaving yourself with nothing?"

"Truth is, your the only person I've ever had a deep connection with and the only person I truly loved more than anything. I also didn't leave myself with nothing I still have you Lia, I will do anything to keep you alive even if it kills me."

As I told her that she wrapped her arms around me and gave me tight hug as if telling me 'to never leave her alone'. I was relieved that she stopped talking about herself as if she was a burden, but deep down I knew that she would still see herself as burden. Sadly that's never going to go away.

I do admit that I do feel powerless without my magic but I didn't care much about it, all I cared was for Lia to be happy. Some day she will find out how to use her power, although being in a different world would surely give her limitations to her powers.

"Let's go home." I said as I let go of the hug

"okay." Lia replied with a smile

As we left the area I felt uneasy like if we were being watched but didn't sense any danger, as we got closer to my house there were alot of people outside since it was getting dark. During this time the lights turned on which Illuminated the place very beautifully and caused couples to come out.

It worked in our favor because I could feel the person getting further away from us. Which made me ease up a little, so we took a break and sat on one of the benches that was not being used.

"Wow, there's alot of people here it almost looks like a festival!" Lia said amazed

"You like festivals?" I asked

"I've never been to one in person, I was born in a time of war. My mother when she was still alive used to tell me stories about festival's, during her time there was no war it was a time of peace. There would be people dancing, singing, eating and just having a great time in celebration of 'The Great Union'."

"Here in Earth is quite the same actually."

"Really?"

"Yeah, everyone gets all hyped about it, before the day of the festival the people go all out into the decorations and preperations. The final result is pretty amazing."

"Wow, if only I could see one."

"What are you talking about, were queens we can make our own festival or even bring one back from ancient times. Once this is all over we should hold a festival in Alterna."

"Yeah, your right we should."

"Alright then it's getting late we should go now."

As we got up from the bench and arrived at my house I could instantly feel the presence of three different indiviuals around the house. There presence was so strong the even Lia could feel it, it made us shake from how itimedating it felt, never felt anything so powerful. When we entered the house I could see my mom and dad sitting at the table talking until they heard me enter.

"Welcome back honey! Hope you had a lovely day." My mother said with a smile

"Do you happen to know whats going on around our house Yeji?" My father said with a serious face

"I guess you can feel it too." I said

"Well of course we can, its such a strong aura similer to that of a King, so far they haven't done anything. Since your here might as well fill us in on what happened in Alterna considering that its been ten years over there and only one and a half day here." My father said as he got up and headed for the couch.

"Alot has happened in Alterna though, I guess I could explain the key points." I thought

"I'm only going to explain the key points, so it doesnt end up being a long story." I said as I also took a seat on the couch

"That's fine, we got the rest of the day."

"I turned out to be a goddess of creation, which I gaved to Lia so I'm no longer a goddess. The one who turned out to be causing choas in Alterna was a man named Hyunjin which is no longer alive, I restored peace within the four kingdoms and the last thing is that me and Lia officialy became queens of Alterna." I explained with a sadden look

"I have a few questions Yeji, there are somethings that I just don't understand."

"Which are?"

"You said that you were the goddess of creation but now your no longer one. Why is that exactly?" My father said while rubing his chin

"Great, that again hopefully Lia doesn't get upset." I thought

"Well, before the death of hyunjin a traitor killed Lia and in order to save her I made her the next goddess of creation." I explained

Explaining all of these events made it feel like it only happened yesterday. The struggles that everyone went through.

"Yet, you don't seem proud of achievments, you seem sad." My father said as he looked at me

"Sure, I should but I did somethings that I regret doing and not doing. One of them being Killing Hyunjin."

"What!? You regret killing the enemy!!!" My father said as he got up filled with anger

"There moving." Lia said in a whisper
