Trail Of The Past -END-

POV: YEJI

With no hint or no information, I couldn't find a way to beat this trial. It just seemed to be an endless illusion made to break me.

"Are you sure about that?"

I looked around upon hearing a voice, almost like they could read my mind.

"This trial is so simple its even in the name."

The world around became static and distorted for a split second. Only for the little girl to no longer be around anymore but the women still stayed. It felt off, like something was going to plan.

"You sure have grown haven't you, yeji?" The women that was next to the little girl was talking to me.

"You're real? But how isn't this to be a trial you can't be real."

"This is a trial created by the first queen of Alterna Siyeon and to answer your question I'm not one hundred percent real. Did anyone told you what happened to me, while you were in alterna?"

"No, whenever I asked they would avoid the question."

"Its cause I'm dead, I died when I gave birth to you that's also how you became the next goddess of creation. Which now belongs to someone else is that right?"

"Yes, to the person I love."

The conversation between my mother and I felt incomplete, I hated that feeling talking to a person who is but isn't my mother. I didn't get as emotional as I thought I would, due to being from my lack of being with her. You could also say I barely knew her.

"Hmm I see, do you know the main goal of this trial like on how to beat it?"

"Of course I don't, if I did I wouldn't be here now would I. Even if I did knew how to beat it, its not like ill be able to anyways."

"The main goal of this trial is to embrace and face the dark past you hide or the past that is hidden within yourself. If you could do that then you'll be able to leave."

To embrace the past is not going to be easy I would have to embrace that she is my mother, but I didn't know if I could do it or not. I never knew my mother to begin with and this woman claims to be me mother, its hard to believe. Looking at her she gave an ominous feeling, she wasn't who she claimed to be.

"I have no past here in alterna."

"What are you talking about, yeji?"

"You said that this trial can only be beaten by embracing the past and I am doing exactly that."

She became silent, the area around me slowly started to decay, she looked to be furious like she was about to burst.

"...you don't mean that do you, yeji?..."

"Even if I was born here, I dont have any memories of this place when I was younger. Which means that I dont have a past here, my past is somewhere else but here."

"Yeji...you...you....YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BIT-"

Everything went black and I was back in the forest with the four members. I had passed my trail, I felt relieved but sadden at the same time I got the chance to see what she looked like. If only it had been on better terms, I looked to my left to see Lia on the ground sleeping.

"Don't worry, she is still taking hers, although it might be hard for her to embrace the past. In the meantime just wait for her to wake up."

"Lia, I hope your doing fine..."

POV : LIA

"I'm happy you know."

"For what?"

"Being here with you, talking like this if only yeji could be here to see you."

"Yeji? Who's that? Could she be your lover?"

Hearing her name, brought memories back when we were in Alterna and here I am almost forgetting that I'm in a trail.

"She is, she's the most beautiful person I've met. She must be done with hers, knowing her she always gets things done fast."

"What a shame indeed, I really wanted to see her even if these eyes aren't mine, but that's okay at least I get to see you once again."

"Yeah, same here mother. All this time I've been hating myself trying to find a way to bring you back, trying to make myself think that you're still alive. I guess its time to accept that you're really gone and move on."

I look at her once more, my body becoming tense not wanting to move. Start to get a stream of tears from having to say goodbye again I was also relieved cause I get to say it while looking at her.

"Come here sweetie." As my mother approached me and gave me a hug.

"I guess this goodbye uh?"

"This is goodbye Lia, live a happy life okay."

"I will..."

I opened my eyes to see myself back at the forest, yeji was next to me with a smile on her face as if she was relieved to see me safe in sound. The four were still there in the sky waiting for me to wake up. Seeing yeji, made me happy although I hated being back.

"Lia! Your finally awake!" Yeji said as she gave me a big hug

"...."

"Lia? You okay?" Yeji said with a worried tone

"I just want to go home..." I said barely hear able

I didn't want to make yeji worry, but with everything that just happened. I didn't want to talk for awhile, I just wanted to be alone for a while and organize my thoughts. Even if it meant hurting yeji a little, didn't want to bother her with my personal problems.

"Were done with our trials, can we go now siyeon?" Yeji asked

"Yes, ill take you back and just one more thing yeji."

"Yes?"

"Someone is going to make contact with you soon, you better be prepared."

Updates been super slow lately, really sorry about that. This book is almost over, if you would like a part three please request it, cause I dont think ill be able to make another. I will be making another book though with a completely different storyline.
