Chapter 7

(No one pov)

A little after being let out you walked around looking for a spot to take a proper nap. Finding a spot no one seemed to pay attention to, you use your ability to float and fall asleep.

Dream/Flashback

I was sitting on my bed with my sweater on listening to music. "Hey Y/n what you doing" I turned my head towards the door to see Jack holding a bag full of stuff. "I'm listening to music where did you get that bag from, I'm sure you're not supposed to have it," I asked him.

"Not important what's important is I got a bag full of candy." He walks over and sits on the bed with me emptying the bag. We start eating the candy and enjoying the quiet. "I've never seen you without a hoodie or jacket what's that all about?" "....Just find them very comfortable that's all," I told Jack. "You're a bad liar, you know that right?" "Why would you think it was a lie," I said turning to face him.

"You took too long to answer, Your always nervous about something, and anytime I try to ask you certain questions you start playing with the edge of your sweater." He said sounding a little monotonous.

"So that could mean anyth- he interrupted me " How did you get here?" He suddenly questioned, "I told you why I tried to hurt my parents so they sent me here." "How would you be able to hurt them you happen to be a small girl. How come two adults couldn't handle you." I looked at him trying to think of a good lie.

"Don't try and lie either I can tell when you do." 'Shit' "You're getting awfully nervous for someone who has nothing to hide." 'Sometimes I wanna wipe that smug smile off his face' "Fine close the door real quick." He quickly walked over and closed the door and walked back over to the bed standing on the side of the bed.

"Ok turn around. When I say turn back around you turn around." I waited for him to turn around when he did I started to take off my hoodie.
"Ok, you can look but don't freak out." He turned around and started staring. 'What am I supposed to do he staring at the wings he probably gonna tell' "...Who hurt you?" He said very darkly. 'Wait what?'
He walked over to my bed and quickly yet gently grabbed my arm. "Who did this to you?"

'Dammit, I forgot about the bruises' "uh I did it's no big deal." I said with a nervous chuckle. He looked me dead into my eyes like he was trying to burn into my brain. ".....It was my parents, the truth is I was born as a meta and it didn't make sense since both my parents were normal. At about age 9 I grew wings and I didn't and still kinda don't know how to control them and other weird stuff started to happen to me. I told my parents what happen to be against meta's and it didn't turn out too well at some point I got really angry and I ended up hurting them so they sent me here. I'm also adopted so there's that." I said quickly and worriedly.

"......." "I would love it if you spoke instead of just sta-", next thing I know I'm in a hug. " If anyone hurts or harms you anyway again tell me." "As touching as this is I can't breathe," I say in a raspy voice.

"So we aren't gonna talk about the fact I'm a meta?" I asked. "Why there is no reason to, plus I'm sure we can do something about those wings in the meantime." I pulled my hoodie back on, Jack sat next to me and we started enjoying our candy.

*End of Flashback*

(Y/n pov)

I wake wondering how long I was asleep. "Do you know where I'm supposed to be going?" I asked a guard. "Continue down the left corridor and you'll see an opening it'll get you where you need to be." I nod my head in a thanking manner and start walking down the left corridor. Walking into a room I see the people from earlier who caught me. "Helloo~," I say in a sing-song manner, everyone stopping whatever they're doing to look at me. One of them popped up quickly and walked over to me she stuck her hand out I'm me. "I'm Harleen Quinzel You can just call me Harley." "Hey Harley I'm Azazel it's nice to meet you and apparently, I will be working with you from now on"

Flag walks over and introduces everyone to me.
