The first thing you did in the morning after waking up was looking out the big window in your room.

The morning rays of the sun pierced your body, illuminating your room.

It was spring, the days were warmer, and today was a perfect day to go outside. Even though exits were forbidden, you had a plan, after all, Draco was a prefect.

You ran downstairs and after you had eaten your breakfast, you came to the Slytherin table where Draco had been sitting, he was recently grumpy.

Over the past few weeks, you've been spending a lot less time together than you used to be, and a lot less talking. You kept telling yourself it was because of his role as a prefect, but you could tell there was more to it.

- 'Good morning.', you said, tapping your finger on his shoulder.

Draco, however, without even turning around, muttered:

- 'Hey.'

You sat next to him.

- 'The weather is nice today, so I thought we...'

He didn't even let you finish.

-' I have no time.'

Crab cut in on the conversation.

- 'You said you don't have any plans today.'

Draco glared at him, and Crab swallowed nervously, getting up quickly from the table.

-Okay. ', you sat down next to him. 'You'll tell me what's going on, or should I still guess. '

Draco's hand tightened on the glass.

- 'It's okay, everything's fucking fine. How many times I have to tell you.'

He threw the glass, smashing it against the table.

Glass shards splattered on the counter, cutting your arm. Draco watched you grit your teeth and gently remove the pieces of glass from your forearm. A cold sweat brushed his pale forehead and he unbuttoned a piece of his shirt.

Blasie ran up to you with a piece of cloth in his hand and said:

- 'Are you fucking crazy, Malfoy?', he said.

Draco adjusted his tie so that it would loosen, and he nervously walked out of the Great Hall, leaving you with Blaise.

- 'Does it hurt?', he asked, taking out the pieces of glass.
- 'No, just a scratch.'
-' I'll take you to the Hospital Wing, where Madame Pomfrey will take care of you.'

Draco's pov:

I left the Great Hall, felt drops of sweat trickling down my forehead.

I walked through the always dense corridors, which now where nearly empty knocking anyone in my way.

I made my way to the seventh floor bathroom.

I went to one of the sinks and looked at the cracked mirror. I couldn't bear to see myself, I saw someone else there, I saw a monster there.

I thought if I stepped away from her I would protect her and now I can see that it is a good decision. The longer I was with her, the more I hurt her and I couldn't take it, I had to stop it.

I washed my face with cold water, hoping it was all a bad dream, but I couldn't wake up.

- 'Malfoy.', I heard a familiar voice. It was Blaise's voice.
